Hard Techno 2023

Hailing from the rural suburbs of Manchester, Elliott Ogden defines his infectious, bone shattering sound through his acclaimed alias 'Kontain'. Depicting rhythmically complex basslines, underwritten by thunderous drums and injected with infectious vocal loops, his productions are instantly recognisable through their signature components. 

The ‘Civil Unrest’ Co-Founder is drawing support from industry dons Dax J, SPFDJ, Perc, Kobosil and Randomer. His pre-eminent, forthcoming debut vinyl release on Cleric's 'Clergy' imprint showcases Kontain's ability to deliver an addictive, club focused, audio sensory assault.

Elad Magdasi has long been entrenched in the rave scene, first and foremost, as a dancer. It is precisely this edge which can be felt in the emotional fabric he weaves into his productions.
 
It is his love for raving that keeps his mojo running whilst bringing inspiration to his life. 

After moving from Tel Aviv to Berlin in 2013, Elad evolved and ended up founding his own label - Front Left Records. The label is a collective of friends who dance together and celebrate techno weekly. All the releases come from artists who share the front left corner of the dance floor. 

Diversity is the key in Elad’s sets, keeping the old and the new combined and making sure you hear some synthesizers.

Valerie Ace is a DJ and electronic music producer currently based in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Ace made herself known through her debut EP Glitzer Vs Hass that was released on SPFDJ’s label Intrepid Skin in early 2022. Two more releases have followed since on Anetha’s Mama Told Ya and Ceili’s Mala Adh. In late 2022 Ace introduced her own hybrid label Hardwon.

Valerie Ace started her musical journey in her teens playing electric guitar in an experimental rock band and spent much of her 20s in art school where she turned toward a more electronic sound. Playing the role of a tongue-in-cheek commentator, she draws inspiration from lived experiences of today’s complex dance-floor politics.

In the Studio Valerie Ace likes to experiment and create her own sounddesigns and aesthetics. She has been exploring electronic instruments from her first oscillator - which was a self-made circuit that she built into the back of an electric guitar - all the way to complex modular synthesizers. It is this high level of curiosity and attention to detail which allows the sound of Valerie Ace to stand out.
