Sure it may be winter but no need to be grey, Anti Social Records has a new LP 'Unbreakable' featuring Liquid DnB sounds from an array of talent. Skinley provides sophisticated soul with his track 'Alone', a warming fusion of sax licks and analogue basslines. Rassterlin's 'Who Can I Blame' is dreamy early morning haziness encapsulated in a amen roller. Vigorous nests jazzy ambience on a subtle backdrop of chilled beats with 'Oludeniz'. DJ Westy's 'Promise' begins in a melodic dubby fashion with nice reverse effects injecting a reggae vibe into the mix, his second offering on the LP 'Keep Trying' is a everything a great pop song should be at 170BPm with stunning vocals and pianos. Basic Forces feature twice with the double bass infused organic mellowness of 'Lost Love' and metallic future jazz of 'Cause And Effect' Cloak, a label stalwart shows his deeper side with the dark funk of 'Soul Diggin' and brings a full on ensemble of instrumentation for the skanking 70s funk of 'Lattitude' while Skinley reworks Cloak's 'Soulscape' into an eclectic and psychedelic blend of Nu Jazz sounds with tearout bass. Sterling Sound's 'Release Me' glimmers and sparkles with a brooding vocal and classic Detroit influences.
