 Described as a love affair with machines and human error Berlin based Producer/Dj Doug Lee’s latest project ‘An-i is an outcome of melding the production aesthetics of 80s punk and no-wave music alongside the thumping forward momentum of industrial techno.  Born in California in the 70’s Lee gained reputation moving to New York in 2002 as a integral  part of the NYC mutant disco scene. Collaborations with Lovefingers for ESP,  LIES Ron Morelli and Veronica Vasickas MinimalWave/Cititrax.  Where Lee foregrounded his techno and disco influences through his productions. Most recently a collaboration with Alessandro Adriani is to be included on Mannequin Records 100th release anniversary compilation “Waves of the Future" along with Silent Servant, Ron Morelli, Shawn O'Sullivan and Beau Wanzer.  The An-i project, constructed by punk affected iterations of techno, can elevate dancefloors through various states with his versatility of influences gathered from over two decades of digging and sharing with dancefloors throughout the world.

SØS Gunver Ryberg makes big, powerful music. Hailing from Denmark the former stunt woman turned BAFTA nominated producer and composer lays down driving rhythms and textures for exhiliarating live shows at Berghain, Atonal, and on Boiler Room, or labels like Contort.  Often stitching in field recordings to add texture and timbre to her work it adds up to a brilliantly dark and insular experience somewhere between noise and techno.

Says the woman herself of her podcast for us, “this is a mix between unreleased tracks, jams and some already released tunes. All music is by SØS Gunver Ryberg except the remix for Else Marie Pade.” The resulting 45 minutes start off as an all out assault: a flurry of synths and frazzled lines, overdriven drums and apocalyptic overtones. But the heaviness subsides and the energy dissipates into muggy and dystopian ambient. Drums do then return and bring with them a real eeriness that makes this an utterly compelling session.

@bergsonist is a New York-based producer and DJ. The artist name inspired by Bergsonian concepts — duration, memory, and the élan vitale — connects her shadowy groovy beats with the sense of fulfilment and satisfaction she found as she learned to trust her instincts and herself. 

The mix was inspired by old school electro and Bergsonist’s last club oriented DJ sets in which she tried to narrate rhythmic-schizofrenic stories by combining all kind of rhythms that she’s intuitively attracted to. The raw sound and authenticity of Old School Detroit and Old Chicago speak the effortless language of @bergsonist and reflect her intuitional method of producing, recording, publishing and distributing music.
