Fuse resident Downside delivers the ninth release on Fuse Imprint with Traces Of Spring, a record that reflects both clean articulation and careful tension building. Across four tracks, he explores a balance of intensity and restraint, depicting a narrative that mirrors his evolving role within the club.

Opening with Until It Fades, the A1 sets a hypnotic tone through patient layering and ambient space, hinting at drama while maintaining subtlety. With Blackout Protocol, the atmosphere turns into focus through an imposing, clear low-end that takes control, driving a darker framework designed for moments of deepened urgency. On the flip, Revolt moves with raw immediacy, its rhythm pushing forward with detail and weight, yet strangely uplifting. Closing with the title track, Traces Of Spring offers a suspended atmosphere, delicate in rhythm and melody, it's a reflection of the fragile balance between soft synth tension hanging by a thread and a focused, monumental pace.

With this release, Downside contributes a coherent and articulate statement to the Fuse catalogue, one that captures both the physicality of the dancefloor and the subtleties that extend beyond it.

Stephan Ranzinger aka FATAL was born in 1979 in Passau (GER), he fell in love with electronic music at the age of 15.
For several years he has been playing in various clubs and festivals from Germany to Austria (Fly, Sonic, Liquid, Club Cazin, Kreuzkeller, Lemon Lounge, TheBank, Vio's...)

It all began with the equipment of the father's rock band... various rhythm instruments, keyboard, synthesizer... and the musical talent helped him playfully and with fun.
A gift from the father, the first mixer opened the way to the DJ.

As a little boy, he quickly realized that techno will be something important to him. Because he found his fulfillment in it. Techno always give him power and energy in everyday life.
And after two years of intense listening to the music, he realized that hearing was not enough for him, he wanted to become part of it himself - so turntables had to come!

When you hang up, it's more about giving you the feeling, the feeling that Techno Music triggers in people like him and other lovers... a sense of freedom, an indescribable good and warm feeling, the feeling in the air you can reach, it goes through the clothes, through the skin - into the heart.
