Yax participa ativamente da cena de techno underground em Adelaide através de sua primeira festa Yax Presents, ele também é curador de uma série semanal de podcasts chamada Yax Invitations com o objetivo de apresentar talentos de todo o mundo com ênfase em mixagens techno estendidas.

Yax is a techno DJ from Adelaide, Australia drawing influence from the likes of artists such as DVS1, Jeff Mills, and Setaoc Mass. His style is continuously evolving throughout the years, but he maintains a focus on deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets. 

Whilst maintaining a presence in the underground techno scene in Adelaide by throwing his first Yax Presents rave in March, Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. @oscarmulero's Warm Up welcomes Colombian techno master Adriana Lopez with this brilliant EP, five tracks that expose her own approach to techno sound, apart from temporary tendencies, with a character that is scientific and abstract and therefore timeless by definition.

This EP is a well-crafted combination of roughness and distortion with introspection and calm. It escalates from the glitchy pulses of the title track of the EP to the beatless and self-defining Quietly, with three sound missiles in the middle.

Going Further is the third danceable exercise: metallic and merciless, deeply rooted in the finest UK tradition, pure pressure and machine funk mashed together.
