Shayda Velasco, better known as "Shyda," is a Miami based techno DJ known for her style of blending various electronic genres together such as electro/breaks with hard and acidic techno, and trance. Resulting in “ravey” and high-energy journeys throughout her sets.

With a long history of musical influence due to her family of musicians, Shyda's passion for music started when she was a kid in L.A and was constantly surrounded by it ever since. In 2008, Shyda moved to Barcelona, Spain where she was introduced to the European rave culture primarily consisting of Drum & Bass music as well as Trance, Goa, and Hardstyle. A few years later life brought her back to Miami where she worked in the night life at some of the best and most iconic clubs in the scene, where she fell even deeper into her love for electronic music.

Shyda first made her mark in the Miami scene by being the closing resident of Techno collective Ground Zero as well as being a partner in opening up an underground club that focused on techno playing every weekend as a resident, and she can still be found playing with other collectives throughout the city.

Apart from her monthly hosting and residency of the Green Room for Cisco Ferreira’s (aka The Advent) TechnoClubNet, Shyda has also made quite the impression recently after her HÖR Berlin debut in early December of 2021.

Shyda is a Miami based Techno DJ and producer known for her style of  blending various electronic genres together such as Electro/Breaks with hard and acidic Techno, and Trance, resulting  in diverse, and high-energy  journeys throughout her sets.
      Shyda first made her mark in the Miami scene by being the closing resident of Techno collective Ground Zero as well as being a partner in opening up an underground club that focused on techno playing every weekend as a resident, and she can still be found playing with other collectives throughout the city.

Combining an affinity for raw distortion, driving rhythms, and all things sinister, DRAKK’s music has seen support from Amelie Lens, Ihatemodels, Shlømo, Dax J, Kobosil, Klangkuenstler, Fatima Hajji, Lee Ann Roberts, Sara Landry, DYEN, Vendex, Jacidorex, and T78, among others. Alongside releasing on labels Neoacid, Unfaced, Agony, DSTM, Factory93 & Nullsect, the past years have seen DRAKK brutalize dancefloors from Los Angeles Sound to Festivals like Escape Halloween to the legendary Kompass Klub in Ghent, Belgium.
