After their first release in February of last year and Amor Fati’s debut EP in November 2022, Last Love Records are back with a new VA compilation out on March 24th, titled « Somebody Held Me Too Close ».

This new compilation is darker and more club-oriented than the first one, but still featuring a hefty dose of emotional heartbreak tales and pop anthems. The project features tracks by KimberlaiD, bdstf, Technopagan, ACAB@_@ROOKIE, digifae (Diana Starshine + Galen Tipton), Lisa More, ELOI, salome and more ; and draws from the following prompt :

Remixes by Hyas, Lisa More, and Pura Pura offer diverse perspectives, each adding a unique layer to the sonic tapestry. Hyas crafts a precision-focused blend of UK influences, while Lisa More's remix evokes a cyborg's melancholic memory. With this mix, we have a whole variety of technoid sounds to present to you, shifting back and forth between a very hypnotic, deep style and the harsher sounds of techno. 

Sanguinica has her roots in the techno scene of Leipzig, more precisely she got to the decks through friends from @nebulakollektiv. She has a very subtle, yet super catchy style of doing the transitions, which shapes her sound and gives it a unique minimalistic intensity. It got me addicted at day one!!!
Of course, she also doesn't forget to put some faster Hardtrance-and Electro-tunes on top. ;)
We really appreciate the intensity she creates with her special style of mixing and feel like this sound of techno is actually the PERFECT VIBE for this summer's FREEOPENAIR-PARTY SPIRIT that we finally got back! :3

THIS IS TECHNO AGAINST BORDERS: Cadus is a charitable and independent NGO from Berlin which evolved out of a narrow circle of friends who have their roots in the festival- and subcultural scene. They initiate innovative and sustainable projects focussing on need-based capacity, primarily concerned with supporting people in crisis regions.
