Frequenting heavy, high-energy grooves but no stranger to opening with ambient and hypnotic to set the tone for a long night. Lilian brings a fresh energy to the PHX underground techno scene with her unique blend of fun, funky, fast sounds that electrify the dance floor. She draws inspiration from various genres including techno, psytrance, electro, UKG, Brazilian phonk/bass, R&B/Soul, and house music. Born in Tijuana, Mexico and raised in Phoenix, she fuses these influences to create soulful sets that make crowds move. This closing set, recorded live from NIGHTMODE 23, takes you on a sonic journey starting with upbeat, bouncy tracks and building to a darker, more cerebral psytrance sound that kept us moving until dawn.

As someone who was born and raised 20 miles away from the birthplace of American Techno, Detroit, MI. Disco Zombie has always took inspiration from his surroundings in Pontiac and abroad. Always being cognizant of what started there, from a young age he took to start making a name for himself. At 18 he caught his first glimpse into the underground world we know today, and started first DJ'ing local parties in the area. But it wasn't until the move to Arizona in 2006 where Disco Zombie started to understand the message he wanted to convey. With his Techno and industrious upbringing, and being surrounded now by desert he's always found solace in the macabre. In 2017 he co-founded a local underground collective in Phoenix called Techno Snobs with the intent to fill a void in the music scene locally, and starting a community similar to what he had experienced growing up. Disco Zombie has gone on to open for the likes of the legendary Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Stingray 313, and Moodyman. Learning from these masters and honing his own craft. Meanwhile, Techno Snobs had been throwing parties themselves and have become a respected name worldwide. Hoping to carry on the legacy of the local heroes he had growing up in Pontiac, meanwhile pushing the envelope with his performances and productions.

Carlos Raúl (aka KAUWY) began his electronic music foundation with Chicago house and techno in the late '90s. Based in Phoenix, AZ, he is a resident with Techno Snobs and is known for his diverse selection and deep, hypnotic rolling groove-infused sets.

Marking his debut release on Undertone Records (DC), Carlos crafted a hypnotic and rhythmically entrancing remix for TonalTheory, putting his unique spin on the original track. Much like his DJ sets, his interpretation blends deep, rolling rhythms with intricate textures, staying true to his signature style while offering a fresh perspective, all while preserving the raw energy and drive of the original mix. With this release, Carlos has further cemented his place in the techno scene, performing across Europe, the UK, Australia, and his native Mexico, sharing the bill with renowned artists like Cleric, Tensal, Dimi Angelis, Kangding Ray, Truncate, DJ Hyperactive, and more.

A child of the '90s, Tavoo's sonic influences coalesce the visceral aggression of nu-metal and gritty confidence of early 2000s hip-hop with the sleek, futuristic energy of early drum and bass—all refracted through the lens of contemporary electronic music. The result is a partially tense, partially seductive, always uncompromising exploration of hypnotic, foreboding, and shadowy allure. 

Genres are viewed as limitations, while his passion for subwoofer technology, combined with over a decade of experience in live audio engineering, has led him to develop a uniquely analytical and scientific approach to music. He views music and sound as tools best used to articulate shades of emotion, and his work reflects a deep fluency in the language of low frequencies.

This direct support set from the Swell x Techno Snobs collab with Surgeon was recorded live at Walter Studios in Phoenix, AZ on May 30th 2025.

Born and raised in the vibrant heart of the Washington, DC metro area, JO-FX’s connection to music began early. By age seven, he was already digging—obsessively exploring obscure records, online archives, and local shops in search of sounds that defied convention. This deep dive into the fringes of electronic music laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to experimentation and discovery.

Now based in Phoenix, Arizona, JO-FX has become a key figure in the local underground scene, bringing his distinct perspective as a resident DJ for Techno Snobs. Influenced by boundary-pushing icons like Aphex Twin and Autechre, his sets are built on a mission: to take the weird, abstract, and often misunderstood corners of electronic music and transform them into something listeners can dance to, connect with, and learn from.

But the JO-FX project is more than just a sound—it’s an ethos. It’s about self-expression without apology. About creating space for the kind of music people love in private but hesitate to share. His sets are a celebration of the strange, the ethereal, the heavy, and the haunting—stitched together with technical precision and a relentless drive to challenge the norm.

Every performance is designed to pull audiences into new territory, making experimental sounds feel accessible without watering them down. It’s a journey through futuristic textures and raw emotion—crafted for people who crave something deeper than just a beat.

For JO-FX, the goal isn’t just to play music—it’s to build a community around it. One where weirdness is welcomed, curiosity is rewarded, and self-expression takes center stage on the dancefloor.
