SOLARIA 2023 Minimix - ØriaX

The Ozora festival in Hungary is one of those magical festivals that gives people a possibility to connect with themselves thru dance, music, art and different workshops and lectures. We performed our very first live show together in the beautiful chill dome at this years Ozora edition. It was a 3-hour musical journey, beginning with deep drowny ambient building up to deep soulful house music.

The live show was recorded both on audio and film and the 3 hours have been cut down to an abstract 90 minutes movies with visual elements from inside and outside the dome during the performance. The filming and editing was made by Ben Kirschenbaum. The video will be available for free on Youtube shortly :)

Together with the live video we are also releasing a free EP; a celebration for the amazing Ozora festival and a gift made of thankfulness to all the people that listen to our music and make it possible for us to continue to devote our time and presence to music.

The EP can be streamed and downloaded from both Eitan’s and my Soundcloud pages and includes two cut’s from the live show.

The radio show’s called Atmospherica Exotica aimed to present another side of techno through my own and guest mixes, focusing on more atmospheric and sophisticated trends. My first Ozorian experience had a great influence on me, both musically and atmopsherically, this is why I started diving deeper into the soundscapes I heard there and which inspired this show.

I was born in 1983,and i started listen to music in my early years…I heard techno music for the first time at the age of 10 in Germany.My mother is german,and in the 90’s we were travelling 3 times a year her family, that’s why i was able to hear techno music so early.Listening to Chris Liebing’s and Anja Schneider’s radio shows was a good starting point of my musical journey.I was able to hear all kind of electronic music,techno,house,drum’n”bass etc,so i was developing my “musical” self vey soon.Collecting dj mixes,compilations and also tracks in any style of music was a straight way to start my dj and music career.So in 2000 i start to collect vinyls,buy turntables,a mixer and learn mixing it together.In the first 3-4 years i was playing in my hometown in little pub’s and clubs,then we start to organize own partys with a friend,so we were able to book some of the top techno and house djs,and i could warming up for all these artists.In 2004 had an invitation from Zvezda Beta to play at Ablak A Dubra in Budapest and one year later to team up the Hairy Crew.From here on i played most of Budapest’s and other big city’s music clubs,and played along side the “best” hungarian techno-house dj’s,and years later also with international artists also.Constant performer of the biggest festival’s in Hungary and have an own residency with my old mate and dj colleague Roocha at Aether Club in Budapest.Im very proud that from 2014 joining Ozora festival as an artist too.

Tune in for Budapest based Turkish DJ, Vedat Akdağ‘s set, as an appetizer for his set at Dragon Nest.

Vedat Akdağ, native Turkish DJ, lives and plays his sets and mixes in various underground clubs of Budapest (Hungary) where he currently lives. Discovering music by playing drums, he developed a intense passion for techno music at an early age. His live performances are powerful and subtile mixes of dynamic emotions and mind-blowing beats. mostly based on the use of Techno and Nu/Cosmic Disco, whether old or more recent tracks, he doesn’t care, as long as they transport you through the night. Juggling between shiny mixes and darker atmospheres, Vedat tries to express himself and his environment : the Budapest nightlife. Simultaneously to his DJ career he developed himself as a Cinema producer and director, trying to link his two arts as much as he can. Digging deeper and deeper in the art of sound his only purpose is to share and feel the joy of your shaking heads and dancing feet…
