Linear System is an artist based in Costa Rica who has close ties to the highly regarded Scottish imprint, Edit Select Records. A label that has released four out of five of his studio albums, as well as several EPs in just a few years. Outside of his regular appearances on the highly respected Glasgow stable, he also lists quality additions to his back catalogue such as Ben Sims' Symbolism, Marco Bailey's MATERIA, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, Marco Lenzi's Molecular, BCCO, and Detroit-based Blank Code, as well as his own Modern Minimal that started life in 2022. 'Emotional Proficiency' has been the most personal release of STNDRD so far.

Emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or goals to achieve.

Going from abstract percusions and textures like in 'Altruism' through fat basslines, metal and percusive synths and drones as you can easily find in 'Apogee' or 'Random Preferences', to a deeper synth or hypnotic bells like in high textured 'Presagio' or 'Transmissions'.
Completed with 2 remixes from T Kode & Uväll.
Italian Berlin based artist T Kode painting more abstract with unconventional grooves that drives you into and hypnotic journey on his 'Transmissions' remix. On the other hand, the Georgian Uväll comes with a groovy, percusive and powerful remix of 'Random Preferences'.

ABOUT US

TechnoTrippin' was established in the early 2014 in Barcelona to support the small techno scene that was emerging slowly but intensely.

In 2015 "Techno in the Forest", an underground festival on the outskirts of Barcelona, was born with the idea of creating strong links between artists, collectives, labels, dancers and everyone related to the underground scene in the city.
After 4 unforgettable editions, we decided we had accomplished our objective of uniting the scene and Techno in the Forest celebrated its last memorable gathering in 2018.

Since then, we have been operating only as a non-profit underground techno platform releasing podcasts & premieres from artists and labels around the globe.

In 2024, celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we launched our solidary techno label, focused on releasing music to help people who are in terryfing situations.

All the proceeds from all releases will go to different NGOs like Save The Children, UNRWA and Open Arms.*

We plan to put on another TechnoTrippin' in the Forest (V). We feel it's time again, after the pandemic, to support and unite the local techno scene by providing an unrivalled quality sound system, a place surrounded by nature, and an atmosphere that reflects the fact that we are not in it for the money. We put our heart and soul into it, simply because we can, and for us, techno is a way of life.
