ØTTA is a Paris-based Portuguese producer & DJ. Her roots of playing in an orchestra whilst raving across Europe have brought forth an epic and merciless style that is now her signature speech. Her style joins the sense of emotional depth with raw solid basslines mixed with industrial noises, gabber, ravey classics & trance. Melting different styles together allowed her to create a personal flow into a heavy and powerful techno inspiring rioting and raving whenever she plays.

For this week’s DETECT we welcome @alt8official.

Whilst mixing has always been a passion of ALT8, it is in production where he comes alive; beginning to make his own music in 2019 following an awakening to the vibrancy of the techno genre, he drew influences from old school hard techno when devising drum sequences. 

That isn’t to say that melodies are left out in the cold; rather they are delicately paired with the harder, industrial elements in certain tracks - as can be seen most prominently on his ‘Hope in Darkness’ EP on Manchester’s ‘Moments In Time’ imprint, as well as labels such as Rave Alert & R Label.

Russian DJ / producer Amazingblaze is a fast-rising newcomer on the scene who caught the attention of Charlotte de Witte with his unique talent and craft. Surrounded by music since childhood, Amazingblaze was intrigued by the mysterious vibrations of sound, which was his initial inspiration to produce electronic music. Arriving in St. Petersburg as a teenager, he met producer BMB Spacekid, who later became his mentor. Amazingblaze went onto releasing on Charlotte de Witte‘s iconic label KNTXT for the first time in 2022 with his ‘Venture EP’ that turned heads on a worldwide scale.

 Parfait began mixing in the alternative basements of Paris, scouring the most underground nights of the LGBT+ and techno ides community. Her career took a new turn in 2019 with her first livestream for Boiler Room, which marked the start of his international notoriety.
Today, Parfait is a key figure in the new generation of DJs who count, and who fight to defend the spirit of free, open and safe parties. As well as DJing, she directs and writes films. A curious, multi-faceted artist, her wide range of expressions makes her style precise and unique.

She is currently preparing the launch of her label « Comme dans les films », which will once again demonstrate her desire to make people dance, always with the idea of breaking down the rigid diktats of heteropatriarchy in mind.
