Josh Smith is a DJ and music producer from Essex, England. He is member of Simul Collective member and resident of Select Sounds with releases on Tanapa Records, Miaw, Whoystro LTD, The Lab, and Microgarden Lab.
 
He has been spinning beats and making tunes since the age of 17 and got into the scene with Tech-House riddims and parties like the legendary Fuse London. Then his journey through different sub-genres and parties began. Today, he is focusing on the minimal / rominimal sound and culture.

▼ Fancying Microhouse and House Music, his sets can be described as soft, tuneful romances built on subtle stirring accents both rousing and pacing, thanks to mesmerising basslines. In a bold and melodious mix Illan entrances his audience with psychedelic and surprising tunes.

▼ Nightclubs across the world such has Rex Club in Paris, La Fabrica in Cordoba, Argentina, where he performed along Magda or Sankeys. Illan finds inspiration collecting vinyl records he carefully selects.

▼ Indeed, he chose only to perform using those records in order to produce the purest sound possible on set.
