I had the pleasure of seeing her play twice at Lightning in a Bottle festival and she blew me away.  Her ability to playfully wield dark sounds and moods with tribal beats and irreverent sass is remarkable. The feeling is incredibly heady and deep, yet still such a fun time to dance to. This month we have arguably the most diverse and eclectic dj mix this series has ever seen courtesy of Denver boss selector, Mr. Frick. The mix he's crafted here weaves through genres at the drop of a hat all the while still maintaining a sense of cohesion, a really difficult thing to do as a dj. You might not be able to tell what's coming next at any moment, but the track selection could keep most anyone who has a broad taste in electronic music, and particularly broken beat styles, interested in what's next.  This is honestly one of the very best installments we've had the pleasure to host, outstanding work here.

Here we have our first ever studio mix from the latest addition to the TSM dj crew roster, our very own, darb. After only a few short months of intensive dj training, our friend has performed and recorded live, made this studio mix, and even has a duo mix on the way with TSM founder and mentor, Dendritic. To put it in RPG terms, this man has been grinding hard and gaining massive experience points, leveling up and learning all the techniques/spells. This does not sound like the mix of a noob, not by a long shot.

While his love of progressive house is most prominently featured, there are also touches of melodic house and techno and organic house along the way. See for yourself just how well mixed and programmed this set really is; you won't be disappointed. This wizard in training is well on his way.

Kicking off our 4th year of TSM Reports with something completely different right now! This month we've got a juke/footwork mix by one of the Denver locals holding it down for this niche of quick and complex bass music, Wayzout. The mix does a great job of representing all sides of this style from the chaotic, disjointed and wild to the smoother, more forgiving and melodically focused moments. Expect the unexpected! Regular changes between 4 on the floor and broken beats, crazy intricate rhythms in the percussion, the heavily looped vocal cuts: all the hallmarks of this Chicago style of bass music are present. Our 48th edition of TSM Reports completes our 4th year as a monthly mix series. To celebrate, we have a unique treat from one of the original dj's of Tech Support from back in the Austin days, our friend, Mark Thelen. Not only is he one of the OG's of our crew, but he also represented in the most OG way possible by providing us an ALL VINYL mix here. It's all smooth sailing on the old ones and twos throughout this ride, no easy feat for most modern dj's. Mark handles it like a true pro, taking us through a variety of house, touching on the roots while still moving forward into the future.

Kicking off year 5 of TSM Reports with a duo mix from crew members, DnD. (Dendritic 'n' darb) While each of us have submitted individual mixes in the past, this was our first time doing our dj homework for TSM Reports together and we're very proud of the resulting mix! We start out from a quieter place in organic house, though we both feel the first track is actually a light and floaty deep house vibe. Those first few tracks serve as an intro that slowly brings the energy up until we're ready to take you into progressive house territory. The energy continues to trend upward through progressive, eventually moving into more of a dark melodic techno feel towards the end, culminating in a finale that goes every bit as hard as the beginning is soft. We hope you enjoy the ride as much as we do! Much love!! <3

Not much is known at this time about this artist, but they came through with this mix for us at the last minute and it's really quite well mixed and executed. A minimal-driven ride from this emerging Denver artist, Flaming Olive flexes everything she loves about the genre on this mix. Even though it's mostly one style technically speaking, there's still a sense of exploration and a variety of sound to be enjoyed here. From fluttering pads and atmospherics to percussion driven bumps and funkier territory covered as well, she keeps things moving through the different sides of her favorite style throughout the set. Last minute, but we're still here in the nick of time for June! (it be like that sometimes lol) We're happy to have our good friend and Denver favorite, LUVr, back for another installment. At the heart of the session is a deep house mix, and yet you don't exactly see that coming when it starts. It kicks off with more of an energetic techno vibe, then runs through some deep tech, minimal grooves before getting to the deep house. It kicks back up to the higher energy sounds toward the end, with an increase in bpm to emphasize the shift. It's a bit of a wild ride, yet still makes sense and I think it's fair to say that's just how he likes it.

As July comes to an end and Summer starts to fade, we've got a genre bender of a mix from Denver local, WOLFiE FENiX, still bringing the heat. It starts off with a housey intro, but when the beats break after the first few tracks it's clear that we're headed in a different direction of leftfield bass heavy beats, breaks, and touches of garage. If you like your dance music broad and funky, this mix should hit the spot just right. Enjoy!

As Summer starts to fade we're happy to have Aurelius Scott back for this month, one of the OG artists of the Tech Support collective from our Austin days. He's been keeping busy running his ambient/deep/dub techno mix series, Anodynic Frequencies, and this mix is definitely in line with that particular creative niche. If you like your electronic music more driven by soundscapes and contemplative/meditative vibes then this is absolutely your kind of mix. Enjoy!

Fall is officially here and we're excited to be sharing the deeper sounds of Lubdub Records founder and artist, DJ Sauce. This mix is a truly proper and groovy affair, could remind one a bit of old Danny Tenaglia (think GU Athens - a bit sassy, good dose of tribal percussion, funky in a dark kind of way) and who doesn't love that? The transitioning is seamless and clean, very well executed. This is about as good an hour of music as we've ever received, honestly - top tier stuff. Hope you dig it!

This installment comes to us courtesy of Denver local UKG slinga, S2PS (pronounced like Stoops).This is a cleanly mixed ride, here to put that pep in your 2-step! He mentioned that he was inspired by Valentine's Day recently to include "plenty of reworks of classic love songs," so look out for some sweet vocals over those jumpy snares and funky basslines. Hello Tech Supporters! Our November mix comes to us from Denver's own LUVr, of the Foreign Roots collective. This is an artist truly after my own heart in the sense that his sound is not easy to pigeonhole with a single label. While he does play a lot of techno, his broad repertoire includes lighter sounds like deep house and melodic techno, as well as occasional breakbeat and others. All of this is well represented in the mix. Hope you enjoy it, as well as the debut of DJ Pineapple at around the 55 min mark!! (Pineapple is his cat who decided to add a lil cat scratch in there.
