Symmetry Festival DJ Competition Mix 2025

My set from Konnexion 10, this festival holds a special place in my heart and was honored to play both the first Konnexion and the last. 

This set includes some of my favorite deep and sexy bass music from the last few years and hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

WHY I WANT TO PLAY SYMMETRY:
My stage name is Jonas Loeb, and I strongly believe Symmetry’s 2025 iteration is the ideal place and time for my Festival Debut.

My sound isn't bound by any one tempo, but by an aura of magic. My style is adjacent to and inspired by so many of the artists on your lineup, especially DEADCROW, JAENGA, Ravenscoon, Ternion Sound, Remnant.exe, and The Glitch Mob.

As a producer I have an extensive catalogue of released and unreleased music that fits the Symmetry vibe. In November, one of my original songs 'Overheat' was released on The Gradient Perspective Records' Dubstep Compilation, with my track appearing alongside one from Medicine Place - who is also slated to play Symmetry. 

My original music also carries weight - In 2023 my Dark Arts EP reached #4 on the Dubstep Beatport top 100, as well as appearing in the top 10 for Downtempo and Breakbeats. I included a taste of my songs and remixes in the submission, including some never before heard unreleased.

Ultimately I want to play Symmetry because I know my sound would go beyond entertaining the festival’s community. I think Symmetry's fans are the type of people who enjoy discovering new music and artists, who get the strong emotional response that comes with hearing a new song they love for the very first time. I believe I can I can deliver that magical feeling when when the music gives you goosebumps and the bass melts away the troubles of the world.

Aaron Schwallier, better known as TechTonic, is a producer, DJ, and music educator from Grand Rapids, Michigan. TechTonic strives to meld the natural and electronic world through a seamless flow of stories to tell through music. Lush atmospheres and ethereal melodies juxtapose with gritty, aggressive basses and driving halftime percussion, cultivating a sound that is nostalgic yet innovative and forward thinking.
