@gonima has been on the SVNSET WAVES radar for 6 years now, so it is a true, true honor to finally present his new EP, Strands, with you all. The EP features four gorgeously intricate new original tracks from the Montreal-based producer, each fizzling and dissolving into a mesmerizingly complex yet comforting world. I can only imagine that this is what a computer's daydreams might sound like.
In addition to the four original tracks, each song has a coinciding remix. From @heoliene's hypnotizingly clicky minimalism, to @brakence's super-textural glitch pop, @jimkimchi's vast hyper-IDM complexion, and Permutia's (@fltx & @m_y_s_e_l_f) goofy illbient banger this EP truly has something in it for all the glitch heads.
In addition to its digital release, a limited edition cassette will also accompany the release. Be sure to stream the album, support the artists, and pick up a tape. Took me tons of time and headache to finish this. Mostly everything made from scratch. Like, drum loops for example - from scratch with one shots and layering them. Snares - layering, synthesis, post process. Most of FX - from scratch(synths tweaking, layering foleys, post processing). And so on.

A little bit of history. This track is a remake of one of my early electronic music I written in late 90's in Fast Tracker II. The bass line, the melody is all from there. The really new additions in this is a morphing bass into drums, SFXs. The original track is lost long ago. I had the song in memory and time to time it hit me. Around 2017-2018 it came to my mind again and I written down the bass line and melody notes just for a case. Then I started to work on the track in 2019 and it was very hard and looooooooooooong to make it.
