Pinch brings 20 years of bass weight production knowledge into the studio to collaborate with the most technical DJ in the 140 scene right now, Neffa-T. The energy levels are high and the percussion is meticulously programmed, all lined up perfectly for grime legend and leftfield wordsmith Trim to catch the vibe and take it to the next level! Killer combo and killer results. Fellow Bristol-based DJ and upcoming producer K-65 is also here on remix duties, bringing his particular flavour of electro-grime sonic power to the version.

Mani Festo showcases a deeper side to his dancefloor sensibilities for his debut release on Pinch’s Tectonic Recordings, maintaining a stone-cold but energised mood throughout the EP that feels very much at home on the label. Rolling, broken beats and technoid forms are powered up by reverb-drenched mechanics, spacious synths and subsonic undulations. All 5 tracks were built for dancing in dark rooms with a full sound.

Revered sonic scientist Rob Ellis, aka Pinch, kicks off an action-packed 20th anniversary year of his Tectonic imprint, with a release created in collaboration with the AV artist and producer Lorem. ‘Red Rabbit’ started life as an hour-long audiovisual performance by the pair at 2024’s Lunchmeat Festival in Prague, and since evolved into an EP.

SICARIA steps up with her deep bassweight energy for the third single from the forthcoming Tectonic Sound compilation. Having made serious waves in dubstep over the past few years, SICARIA has recently found herself playing b2b with Skrillex, tearing up Coachella, Boiler Room sets and generally setting dancefloors and festivals on fire, worldwide. Her track for the comp, ‘Rhassoul’ lands as a proper dubstep cut—one foot firmly rooted in the UK’s original sonic lineage, the other venturing into bold new terrain. It feels as fresh as it does faithful to the genre. A true shoulder-roller, it delivers scattering bursts of sub-bass science at earthquake intensity, rumbling through the mix with precision and power.

For their debut EP on Tectonic, Beatrice M. drops four deep, dubby cuts bringing weighted bass energy together with techno sensibilities and advanced percussive manoeuvers. Elegant but powerful tracks built for sound systems and curious ears!

Midnight Swim is an ode to the “softer” club sounds, repetitive aquatic grooves that remind Beatrice of their go-to sport: swimming. No phones, just back and forth in the cold water, settling into a mechanical groove. The opening track, Oval, carries its title from the appreciation of soft edges, little distortion, minimal rhythmic pattern.

Upon hearing Pinch’s tune 136 Trek, (itself a nod to Zinc’s 138 Trek), Beatrice decided to name a tune 132 Trek, to continue the lineage of their musical heritage. The tune was already called Trek because it was made after spending some months in London, and realising “everything is a bloody trek”!! 

The EP’s title track is about warm-up music and enjoying the earlier hours of the party - a quick immersion and then time for bed, rather than banging club tracks all night long. Beatrice likes to show up early at the club, watch it fill and then leave as it packs out. Midnight Swim is a dip into a roller. 

The last tune of the EP features Sub Basics, the first artist to have a vinyl release on Beatrice’s own label, Bait, and one of their biggest musical inspirations. Sub Basics’ immersive progressive sounds fit simultaneously in the deep techno world and the dubstep world. A beautiful in-between.
