The sound of a piano, old tape strings from the 70's, a reed organ from the Victorian Era and the European orchestral Glockenspiel come together in this arrangement - a bridge across the centuries. Share this one with a friend, and have yourself a very, very Happy New Year!

Auld Lang Syne - Ted Labow

Once the asteroids have been evaded, it is a free flight experience. He is now in control of the craft. Acrobatics and show-off space flight maneuvers are the order of the day!

4) Free Flight

Our Astronaut continues to plead his case, telling her how she can accumulate riches, wealth, property and power on Earth. She counters with the wisdom of her elders and their modest way of life.

11)The Argument

At an impasse, the two love birds separate and feel the pain of love gone wrong.

12) Cruel Separation

Contact is received from mission control and our Astronaut is instructed to return. He struggles to comprehend the changes he feels, and finally decides to break ties, adopt a new way of life and remain with his love.

14) Call From Home

The Martians celebrate the couple with feasting, storytelling and dancing!

15) Martian Party

Some time goes by and they start talking again. Our Astronaut hints that he might stay on Mars and adopt their peaceful ways. Our Martian Lady is overjoyed!

This track was made using sounds from the Waves Element 3 Synth (and triangles from the Miroslav Orchestra). The ostinato was improvised first, followed by the 'melody' and the background pads and synth bass.  I've left it untitled, because it will mean something different to each person. I am a pianist, composer, cantor, singer, artist, producer and educator living in the US, but originally from Canada. I try to compose at least five or six days a week, and my newest venue is soundcloud. It's great to be able to improvise a track and post it the same day to be heard. I am looking forward to posting lots of new music soon and to sharing it with you!
