Wasting the Day Away

This bluesy song has to do with trying to understand the world around us and how much time that can take away from actually living ones life. Why did this happen, why do I have to do that? Sort of stuff. I was trying to write in the style of Little Feat, one of my favorite bands. It's got a nice blues feel and some very tasty guitar licks thrown in there. If you are a blues singer or band this is a song worthy of covering. Lot's of room to experiment and shine.

Licensing Ideas: If you have a TV, or Film Project where a character is conflicted about which way to go, or how to solve a problem, than this song is for you.

Have you ever had the feeling people were talking about you behind your back? Paranoid? Maybe... That is what this songs about. It's pretty much a basic blues structure with a bit of Ted thrown in for good measure. It has a very strong catchy hook, and the lyrics are delivered in a passionate conversational style. That is very easy to relate to. If you get angry at people trashing you behind your back than sing this song and you'll feel better.

Tellin' Lies

We all have a bit of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in us. Sometimes it's not completely a bad thing. In fact sometimes it's a good thing. How is your OCD?

For all you country and bluegrass fans, this is really a traditional bluegrass song for other artists out there. It's the dream of many of us "I wish I could hear my music on the radio". This is a really fun song that is perfect for singing along. It's got that traditional feel with acoustic guitars, slide guitars, 4 part harmonies, and an uptempo beat.

Ted Lehman was born on Long Island, a child of the 60's and 70's. His musical styles run from Classic Rock and blues to Americana, country and folk. Ted has been working singer/songwriter most of his life. His band "Pepperwood Greene" based out of Buffalo NY, in the 70's was a very successful vehicle for songwriters to produce their music and perfect their performance for live audiences. After leaving Buffalo Ted moved to Atlanta and, worked writing and recording his songs mostly from home. Ted's music has been extremely well received by his musical peers as well as the public. Ted's songs have been covered by almost 2 dozen other independent artists from all over the world. He has also licensed his recordings to film, TV, and advertising. "After spending most of my life writing and recording music I find that I have a rather large archive of written and recorded material to share." Ted says, "I consider myself a songwriter first and recording artist and performer second." Ted is interested in other artists covering his songs via recording or live. He is also interested in licensing his compositions and recordings for TV, Film, Advertising, & Video Games.
