It demonstrates that very different instruments and sounds can work together in harmony to create something which is more than te sum of the individual components

Icy Surface fragment with individual tracks

Instrumental track Inspired by Jonna Jinton's recording on a Swedish lake in the winter. She made a video of 10 hours of the almost magical and mysterious sounds of the ice, which is always moving and working under temperature variations.

I've tried to get somewhat this "icy atmosphere with using synthesized/stretched/reversed sounds using lots of effects.

Icy Surface (remix)

A calm piece of music for French horn, violins and basses. 

My father played French horn in a symphony orchestra. 

This is my first attempt in making a piece of classical symphonic music. That's hard enough as it is.. I've tried to keep it simple with just the horn, violins and contrabasses. I recorded the three parts in just an hour far from perfect, and spend about 20 hours over the course of a few days editing the resulting three MIDI tracks, timing the notes and adjusting the volume.  It's just a start. I have no ambitions of becoming a composer, but of course it's nice if others would like it...

Recently I installed the Spitfire Sound Discover (free)library here with has sampled sound of most instruments in a symphony orchestra, played by the famous BBC Symphonic Orchestra. This allows one to compose and play every available instrument (sections) with your keyboard, recording e.g. with Cubase. without having to read or write notes.

Remastered from old cassette tapes that were almost lost in the stream of time. 
Audio quality is therefore not optimal.. 

These original recordings were made at home between 1984 and 1992, using the following cult equipment: 
Tascam 144 4-track analog cassette recorder, Yamaha DX-7 and Juno 106 Synthesiser, Kasuga acoustic guitar, Customised Ibanez Les Paul model guitar with 3 Schaller pickups and an Armstrong Flute. Boss analog delay and Yamaha rithm bank and .. my voice.
