Some people believe that Peter Pan is a metaphor -- either for coping with loss, or for the innocence of childhood, or both. Well, believe it or not, neither of those are true. As much as it would be easier to imagine that they're not real, Neverland, Peter Pan, and all the little lost boys and girls actually exist. Considering that The Bearded Man has basically never aged a day throughout the course of all of recorded history, is it really so hard to believe? I mean, we take it for granted that The Bearded Man is a real person -- there are just too many stories and people that can corroborate his star-studded existence. Sure, no one ever doubts The Bearded Man even for a second, but when you mention Peter Pan, everyone says "oh that's definitely fake". The Bearded Man actually used to hang out with those guys back in the day, and he even used to go skateboarding with RU-FIIII-OHHHHHH!!! once upon a time. He doesn't do that much anymore though. It's not that the lost boys aren't cool, because they definitely are. It's just that, young and magical or not, Peter Pan IRL is kind of a dick.
