Mosaic return to Intrigue with ‘Cold Shade’, locking straight into that deep, rolling pocket the label does so well.

There’s a weight to this one from the outset. Space, tension and atmosphere take the lead, with Mosaic shaping each track with a careful hand. It’s cinematic without losing its edge, balancing haunting musical touches with a firm, driving backbone. Four cuts, all built for different moments, but tied together by that unmistakable Intrigue mood.

‘More Darkness’ sets the tone early. It opens up airy and immersive, slowly pulling you in before flipping into a stripped, weighty stepper. The drums land clean, the low-end does the damage, and there’s just enough melody drifting through to keep it feeling human. Proper late-night energy, the kind that creeps up on you in a dark room with the system turned up.

Across ‘Cold Shade’, Mosaic lean into contrast. Light and shade, soul and pressure, beauty and grit all woven together without overcomplicating the formula. It’s confident, controlled and aimed squarely at the heads who like their Drum & Bass deep, moody and built to roll.

Another tidy addition to the Intrigue catalogue, and one that feels right at home on the label.

Now ‘Dispostions’ looks set to cement his status at the top of the leader board.
