LITE starts its journey into the 2-track world with an alluring South-London collab. This co-production debut from Nadī and Otus features two rave-ready rollers, crossing over cultural influences and offering two moods of liquidity. The A side Less Talk is loaded with heavy drum cuts, whilst the B side, More Talk is a nostalgic drum scattered footwork track.

The EP is an ode to dusted jungle and drum & bass, it also takes inspiration from the sonics of Bangladeshi folk music and blends ethereal vocals with western genres. The dreamlike, celestial mood of both tracks easily lends itself to home listening too.

This project seeks to showcase a mix of footwork and breaks with western drums, Carnatic vocals and thumping 808s, whilst paying homage to the Bengali Language Movement 1956 and the strife for language to be accepted.

Presenting my new radio show residency, RADIO VERCETTI live every last Tuesday of the month 4-6pm AEST on Area 3000 radio in Naarm/Melbourne. For my first show, I played tunes I was rinsing throughout the summer/pride gig dates + I had the absolute pleasure of hosting the Prince of Pōneke, @lakeboon !!!

Lakeboon (Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Makea Ārera ki Rarotonga, Pāmati); Producer, DJ and collective co-founder of Pōneke collective, Insession. 

His sets often highlight percussive and bass driven indigenous sounds that continue to innovate underground electronic music - fused through an eclectic range of genres and tempos to tantalize the average self diagnosed ADHD listener - utilizing a vast catalog of selections from over 10 years performing shows and festivals across the motu and abroad.

His collective Insession, offers a platform to indulge new DJ’s and Artists throughout Aotearoa - specifically those les represented in the community (be it BIPOC, LGBTQA or people playing genres that deserve more time on the dance floors) -  the opportunity to kick start their career/hobby, through mixes, shows, promotion, guidance and knowledge, on a mission to diversify the music scene with fresh and unique talent.

Like many artists who tend to keep their projects from the world - holding a shy handful of releases over the years - The Big Fresh Collectives 'FOOTMAHI 2023' featured and saw Lakeboon's ‘NE 160’ reach global audiences; incorporating Aotearoa lingo over a footwork/ghetto-tech groove. Drawing inspiration through friends and artists pushing culturally diverse and inclusive experiences that timelessly inspires his passion to tautoko, create and innovate through his music and collective alike.

L’Association créée en 2016 et dont les valeurs principales sont la solidarité, l’accès aux droits, aux loisirs et à la culture, la dignité des personnes et la protection des enfants, a pour but de soutenir et de participer à des actions en faveur des jeunes migrant·e·s.

Les principaux domaines d’activité de l'association sont les distributions alimentaires et non-alimentaires, les maraudes, l'accompagnement administratif, l'hébergement d’urgence, l'hébergement de jour et lieu de vie collectif, l'apprentissage et culture, entre autres. Toutes ces initiatives demandent des ressources financières constantes

De plus, le lieu qui abrite l'association est sous le coup d'une expulsion. Elle a donc plus que jamais besoin de soutien pour pérenniser ses activités et pour trouver le prochain lieu pour continuer d’offrir un accueil de jour aux jeunes à la rue.
C'est pourquoi nous souhaitons lui reverser la totalité des revenus générés par ce 2eme volume de T.I.G.

Sam Interface & Gafacci are back! After their heavy-hitting club single ‘Brekete’ dropped last month they return with ‘Don’t Stop’. A huge horn track with a euphony of percussions and heavy drum sounds.

On a chill afternoon in Accra, Sam & Gafacci were working on a track at the studio, when the 4-year-old son of the studio owner walked in. Gafacci asked him if he would be interested in saying something into the mic and of course as any kid would, he jumped at the opportunity to put his voice over a song.
