Sonora is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ who experiments with sound, performance and fashion in their shows where they become the Hardcore and Makina Diva. Co-founder and resident of @musa.platform a party and collective that prioritises giving a platform to FLINTA artists.

"For this mix I focused on hard kicks combined with strident screeches from makina and hard trance with a touch of gabber. As usual my sets are heavily inspired by the 90s sounds. Mákina comes from Valencia - just like me - and it's the genre that made me fall in love with DJing.
I proclaim myself a Hardcore and Mákina Diva because these styles of music are mainly dominated by straight cis men, and who better than a trans femme enby to become the diva that will bring this music to safer spaces? 💋" - @callmesonora

This set was originally performed at HÖR on May 27, 2022. Due to the HÖR's ambiguous stance, which enables oppressors through a 'both-sides' approach and the news of HÖR restricting many DJs from expressing solidarity for Palestine, 23 requested its removal. The platform's position conflicted with our principles and political views. We have chosen to keep this set on our channel for our fans and the artists' songs that must be shared! - we put a lot of love in our DJ sets.

Our ADD asses lost the USB with its history so we had to rewrite the whole tracklist by ear, but it is finally here 😳:

Softcorish pastel saturated distortions and blurred sepulchral noise embody Pinkboi, aka Lolita’s untamed and unpolished spitting-like sonic succubic call : a provocative audible duality, simulated by a choir of frenetic moaning machines merging with the summoning spells of a mecha doll army, and galvanized by sharp and strident electric shoutings from an obscure gynoid resistance’s anthem taking place in an algamatophilic dystopia. Pinkboi’s visceral and corrosive self-expression, is meant to shake-up your fluids.
