Most of my material is raw material without a big studio, I'm still waiting to rerecord it for better quality. But it's something!

Türen/Doors

Well... As a composer I sometimes argue with my producer(s).
I.E., I think, the (harmonic) essence (not assasins)of this (partof the) song is already done as my (not yet mentioned friend) says, that this track is still VERY unfinished.

So, my dear friends, just look at this as another appetizer, I hope I will find the time this year to meet with him again! Until then... piano stuff.

With this one and an unuploaded one in mind (it will blow yours! In a most peaceful way!) I doodled a bit a bass line started to form.
And as two pianos stood in the room where I recorded the track, i had two try them both.
This record is consciously marked as experimental as I find the phase-shifting at the and of this piece quite interesting and, although not high-end professional, I did not want to edit it.

Bon Voyage

From all the works I did until now, this one's the piece I'm most proud of, it captures the complete freedom as if you were flying, or, flying underwater. Thus diving.
It is quite easy to play but difficult to achieve this feeling.
Backgrounds: Some recent works are influenced by film music and anime ost's, this one in particular has a reference in the title.
I hope to extend future works to more instruments!

This tune, recorded on a pacific beach, is for them.

I wish you were there

Wow, that takes me back... Long before the times of audacity, Cubase and other programs, I started writing down the piano scores with museScore. But still, I wanted to make electronic music, so, I wrote like 14 pages of scores, pressed play&export and that's it.
Incredible, that that's already 5 years old.

PS: The name never changed from this hasty sketched title.

Techno2 2

Well, I was influenced by the piano scores for Händel's "My heart is inditing" and J.S.Bach's "Magnificat" and started to improvise. This is my one and only try.

Go Bach and Händel it!

I made this recording to give an impression of the upcoming, reworked 2015 version of the german folk song "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen", known for versions by Praetorius, Distler (in "Weihnachtsgeschichte"), Sandström and many others. 
As I am still studying their works, it results that every year a new, different version of this melody leaves my mind and forms another christmas song.
Lately, I looked for this 2015 version as it seems most suitable for the choirs I am taking part at the moment. 
Hopefully, this one will be exchanged in upcoming January for a recording in Berlin's philharmony. 

Note: As this work might be used for other works, I will not (yet) put it in creative commons. Anyway, download for private use is no problem.

Es Ist Ein Ros_2015_sketch

Well, I wrote this song back in Germany but the main reason to learn guitar were three guys in Costa Rica that helped me to start learning (thus the(ir) name for the song). The influence actually comes from japanese kuricorder quartet.
So, as I run out of space this might be the last song on this account, enjoy!
PS: Well, these three guys were not the only reason. I once talked to one guitarist of ratatat and asked about how and when to learn guitar. And he said sth. like: It's never to late to start.
So, here I am.

Argue And Barrier

First (long) piece of the cycle "Δt".
Composed for four hands, a piano and a metronome.
The metronome is "played" shortly before the real piece begins, so the ticking of the time turns into music.
Thanks to Viet Son Pham for correcting some parts and giving it a more symmetric structure.
The theme sounds familiar? Remember "For Nico".

Komponiert für vier Hände, ein Klavier und ein Metronom.
Das Metronom wird kurz vor beginn des echten Stückes gespielt, das Ticken der Zeit wird so zur Musik.
Danke an Viet Son Pham fürs Korrigieren einiger Stellen und der symmetrischeren Form, die das Stück dadurch bekommen hat.

Metronom/ Metronome

Born in Berlin in 1992, I started playing piano at the end of the first class - now thirteen years ago.
I started composing because I was jealous (yes, that was the first impulse), to be anounced with a "self-composed piece" was pretty cool so my old me decided to create pieces himself.
The first opus (the first part of the already uploaded "The Rain") was composed one or two years after starting to play piano and as more I played, as more I composed.
Before I started this soundcloud account, I already knew that the space of 1,5 hours is not enough for upload everything so far.
I'm still composing and it depends very much on the piece I play (see the composers mentioned, e.g. Beethoven, Satie, Mussorgsky...), but now I am focussed on pieces for choir, ensembles and electronic music.

Plans: There will be surely a YouTube-Account, but I haven't found the time to create one and work with it...
