THE SAD CORONATION 👸
 
There was a King Milesint, 
Of whom I will tell you: 
He assassinated his brother's child, 
Wanted to wear the crown himself. 
The coronation was celebrated with pomp 
At Liffey Castle. 
O Ireland! Ireland! were you so blind? 

The king sits at midnight 
In the empty marble hall, 
Looks astray at all the new splendor, 
As if drunk with the feast; 
He speaks to his son: 
"Once more bring the crown! 
But look, who has opened the gates?"

Then comes a strange play of the dead, 
A procession with silent footsteps, 
Hooded guests great and many, 
A crown sways in the midst; 
It pushes through the gate 
With whispers without words; 
The king, he is so spiritually dizzy. 

And from the black crowd looks 
A child with a fresh wound; 
He smiles with dying pain and nods, 
He makes the rounds in the hall, 
He paces to the throne, 
He hands a crown 
To the king, whose heart is deeply shocked. 

Thereupon the procession swept away, 
Intoxicated by the morning air, 
The candles flicker whimsically, 
The moon at the window listens; 
The son with fear and silence 
To his father would lean, - 
He leans over a corpse.

Die traurige Krönung 
 
Es war ein König Milesint, 
Von dem will ich euch sagen: 
Der meuchelte sein Bruderskind, 
Wollte selbst die Krone tragen. 
Die Krönung ward mit Prangen 
Auf Liffey-Schloß begangen. 
O Irland! Irland! warest du so blind? 

Der König sitzt um Mitternacht

Sieht irr in all die neue Pracht, 
Wie trunken von dem Mahle; 
Er spricht zu seinem Sohne: 
"Noch einmal bring die Krone! 
Doch schau, wer hat die Pforten aufgemacht?"

Da kommt ein seltsam Totenspiel, 
Ein Zug mit leisen Tritten, 
Vermummte Gäste groß und viel, 
Eine Krone schwankt inmitten; 
Es drängt sich durch die Pforte 
Mit Flüstern ohne Worte; 
Dem Könige, dem wird so geisterschwül. 

Und aus der schwarzen Menge blickt 
Ein Kind mit frischer Wunde; 
Es lächelt sterbensweh und nickt, 
Es macht im Saal die Runde, 
Es trippelt zu dem Throne, 
Es reichet eine Krone 
Dem Könige, des Herze tief erschrickt. 

Darauf der Zug von dannen strich, 
Von Morgenluft berauschet, 
Die Kerzen flackern wunderlich, 
Der Mond am Fenster lauschet; 
Der Sohn mit Angst und Schweigen 
Zum Vater tät sich neigen, – 
Er neiget über eine Leiche sich.

Even when evil wins always flame of hope smolder that goodness wins in the future. 

This is my translation of lyrics (I hope it reflects the meaning)

A flame of hope.

Be sure it won't go out
Although sometimes evil wins.
When the clouds gather
Believe it, believe it.
It has to hurt a little first
To then enjoy.
So that you can appreciate later
every new day.

Chorus
Let it smolder, let it smolder
Until the end of our days.
Let it illuminate the way in the darkness
for all of us.

that the world will be better.

This Custom Shop SG came to me very cheap because the headstock was broken. I spent the last two weeks stripping it down and reparing it. Put it back together yeasterday and played some bottleneck on it. I put her through two delay units, tiddling the knobs as I played!
