Alongside a bassline that coils, and then lashes out over a plunging drop, you’re thrown between the snap, crack and whip of a hugely intricate composition. Hamilton is back… And he’s here to re-educate you with his unfaltering skillset. 

On the flipside, ‘Track 8’ is an innovative slice of drum & bass which is both fun and drivingly relentless. Bouncing subs, coupled by distorted synths take you through elevated note patterns of gradually building, musical imagery. It’s a steppy riddim, one which doesn’t completely crash on impact but instead is creeping in its intensity. It’s Hamilton at his most diverse, yet again proving the versatility in his craftwork.

Drawing you ever-deeper into their forthcoming LP ‘1x1’, Calyx & TeeBee’s next offering presents not only a landmark release, but also their unbridled integrity. The anticipation around this second album is only growing, having scored three Beatport numbers ones with their latest singles. On top of playing sold out shows at Brixton Academy, as well as festivals across the Atlantic and singles and producing remixes on major labels, it’s clear to see how they’ve met these benchmarks. 

‘Cloud 9’ sees Calyx back on vocals, adding a soulful depth which creates a narrative behind the music. Carefully drawn out lyrics create a cinematic edge, intimate and adding an 80’s new wave flare which is seldom seen within the genre. Layers gradually build underneath the track’s more humanistic elements, with a distorted bassline revving up and peddling the record forward. Ducking and diving between twisted beats, you’re launched through a segment of glitchy sonic, before stockier subs underpin the composition. To say that Document One “defy categorisation” wouldn't quite get across the whole truth. For one thing, it's a cliché, and to use a cliché to describe their brand of gritty, smoky, jazz-inspired, funk-infused dancefloor D&B just wouldn't be right. After all, they steer well away from cliché in their music, what with their expert melding of the light and the dark, the natural and the synthetic, the laid-back and the crowd-hyping. They've created their own category, and the two tracks on this release are here to stretch the limits of it a couple of notches further. “Chasing Stars” is the sound of effortlessness. 

Two different flavours of drum, the techy kick and snare plus the loose cymbals and fills, roll alongside each other in the intro. Meanwhile noodling keys and the eponymous vocal riff create a gentle head-nodding vibe. Then, without breaking a sweat, Document One call this casual jam-session to order, with a grimy bassline that weaves the whole track into a tightly-knit roller. This is dangerous rave material that you don't see coming. 

Then “Get Da Funk” goes one step more groovy. Yeah, groovy. That's the word for it. Horns and acoustic drums lay down the vibe, then a Motown-style vocal soars over the top to build things up. Then the drop gives us quintessential Document One, as bass and iron fist drums create a rhythmic combination with vocal and horn stabs that is absolutely irresistible. An ice-cool breakdown with added blues guitar gives the opportunity for even more hype in the second drop. 

These tracks could easily be onstage recordings from some ultra-slick band. The deftly expert programming doesn't detract from the feeling of live energy that Document One manage to get in their music. Like the best jazz or funk acts, it's the sound of accomplished technicians letting loose and having some fun. And while they're having fun, the ravers are too. This is D&B as only Document One do it.

Bio: I was insterestested in music since i first heard "Nie dokazuj" by Marek Grechuta in first years of live. 
This is the first song i've remembered. Then i started music schol of Henryk Wieniawski in Żagań on percusion section with Stanisław Piniuta. \
I;been paying Marimba Xylophone Vibraphone Bongos and percussion set. I like to play on all  kind of instruments. Speciali Piano - i've been teachng by myself.

When i come to Warsaw i joined "Akademia Mistrzów Dźwieku"  {Masteers of  Sound Akademy)  with Jacek Sienkiewicz and Paradox. 
My adventure with electronic music started when i first time heard Windowlicker- Aphex Twin then i fall in love <3 This experience from high scholl is one of best i;ve remember==

Sometimes i like to play in Club's. Mosly in Luzztro. But i have pleasure to making party in 1500m2, , Mandala, 
Jerozolima, Jedyne Wyjście, Kamieniołomy,  Glam Club- playing on fashion show of Krystyna Zimnicka.
I'm playing all of genre but speciali electronic stuff like : Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Chillout, House, Psychodelic, Experimental.
I'm composing music since 2008 when i meet Yakamusa, He teach me a lot in FL Studio.

Music is my dream.
