Bad Lieutenants probably need to cut the Marshall Tucker Band out of the listening diet

Glacial outcropping of 90's CT punk scene.  Bad Lieutenants begat of The Chinks, The Chinks the offspring of CFI.  Steve Theriault the common thread.  In the narrow family tree of the scene pretty much everyone played with everyone else, no degree of separation more than 2.  The Bad Lieutenants was guitarist Steve (Little Stevie) Theriault's last project before leaving this world in 2005.  Little Stevie laid out the early template, and if you listen carefully to the leads in "Midnight Beefcake", you kinda get the picture.  Hands a blur.  Crazy hair.  Part Micmac Indian.  Trying to play country, raised on thrash, the Bad Lieutenants wind up in some sub-ghetto of punk, since they don't really fit anywhere else.  This little sampler is a condensed yet diverse snapshot of a foul-mouthed and forgettable band spawned in the Connecticut swamp, and still sputtering out music.  Stevie's left this world, but the Lieutenants will still sneak out on some weekend night and pollute a dive bar near you.  100% Pure American Dirtbag Rock n Roll.
