Sometimes, we as singers just long to be serenaded. This song was written at the start of quarantine. As the future of concerts started to look bleak, the idea of being serenaded kept replaying in my mind and ironically came pouring out of me through this song.. which I hope serenades you.
Music Magician Mark Pelli brought this song to life with his production to which I'm immensely grateful for. We went for a 'Gravity' by John Mayer feel in the production and it just sparkles in a warm, sensual way.

How to Love You

Based out of Calgary AB, Tendavillage showcases a group of talented musicians passionate about their art with a willingness to be creative and step outside the box. Soulful vocals, hard grooving beats and lyrics with a sense of humour are a few ways to describe their style and sound. 
Their self titled debut is Led by first single “Ralph Wiggum”, which Atwood Magazine called "a song that exists on a plane of involuntary stank face”. The album weaves through a mixture of genres - from groove//jazz (“Ralph Wiggum”, “Fullness”) to a smoother RnB/neo-soul sound (“Maybe it’s you not me”, “No Way No How”) and then funk (“Bubble Monkey”, “Adam Driver”). The central creative force behind the group is singer//keyboardist Kate Melvina, who writes and produces all the music herself. She then brings the songs to her bandmates whom include Barry Mason (guitar), Carson Gant (drums) and Luis El Pana tovar (percussion) who help bring her vision to life. Kate’s jazz influence can be heard in many of her compositions, and her lyrics can range from personal and introspective to humorous and zany. She draws much of her inspiration from everyday things such as video games and TV (Earthbound, The Simpsons) and even includes an ode to her favourite actor, Adam Driver. 
Many of the group’s influences can be heard throughout,  including acts like Stevie Wonder (Kate's hero since she was 15), Prince, D’Angelo and newer artists like Mononeon and Moonchild.

Stemming from a decision to truant from a marketing role in favour of attending one of Kojey Radical's poetry workshops (2017), Tee decided that his best course of action was to take “notes from his OG’s” by picking up his camera and become their videographer. Starting with Kojey - who went on to use Tee's song 'The Start' from The Journey EP  as the first song on his Spotify Artist Playlist ‘CAN I SPEAK’ (2018) -he then started the Your Journey Podcast where he interviewed Intalekt, Dualeh Oke from Jay Prince's DRMCLB collective and TINYMAN on the challenges artists face with mental health in music. Tee's penultimate act of documentation came from the opportunity to be  Lil Pump's videographer as he performed to thousands in Nottingham.

After putting down the camera, Tee Peters decided that from his next single on, he would begin #WorkingSeason where for the summer long, he would release new music monthly and focus on developing himself as both a artist and as a man instead of distractions. With help from friends at the emerging Chill Hop Label Funcc., both Ugly & Growing Up (prod. Epifania and Hz.) were born and  acquired national radio attention via both Jamz Supernova (BBC 1Xtra) & Leah Davis describing him as "promising" on Capital Xtra. 

Recently teaming with O2 for first headline show at Peggy’s Skylight and being selected to perform for FLOHIO's emerging arts festival all in 2019 Tee is writing himself an exciting story.
