INTRO: want you to know that America is ripe for a family reformation, and it must start in the Christian community, there has to be a difference, in your home and in the neighbor’ home. I was a teenage boy one time, and I know that teenage boys think about sex, every 7 seconds and you and I both know that they were lying about the other 6 seconds, I want you to know whether you go out 1 time or 50 x’s, I want you to know what I mean when I say to you, keep your hands and your lips off my daughter, I don’t wanna control her life, I wanna protect her from the snares and the traps.

CHORUS: Who you gone serve, as for me and my house, we serve the Lord, me and my house, me and my house, as for me and my house, we serve the Lord, so choose today.

VERSE 1: My daddy believe my mom believe my poppa was a pastor, grandpa was a pastor, does that make me a pastor, possibly but definitely not, though my heritage blessed, my brother saved, sister saved, wife saved, some fellas that I knew in the Lou got saved, Gods ways prevail round my house hey we like it that way, jocking everything Jesus say, nowadays I play bible games, old man used to play deadly games, new man lift them hands up in praise, hope I see the day that my daughter get saved, hope I see the day that my sons get filled, grandkids cousins too, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles chosen to become disciples, you can serve your foreign idols, I’m a serve Jehovah Jireh, keep my house in order serve the Lord or row on cross that river.

REPEAT CHORUS: Do you want to be Godly father, than you have got to submit to your heavenly Father, that involves repentance, that involves repentance.

VERSE 2: Don’t judge a book by its cover, life aint always lovey dovey, kissy and huggy, funny and sunny, butterflies flutter in your tummy, tribulations complications strengthen family relationships, mission trips on ocean ships, pray for those less fortunate, I could be digging out a garbage can, like a homeless man with no hope man, we could be standing in a line with a bowl for a hand out waiting for a plane to land, but God had another plan to make Christ the Head of every man, and make man the head of the woman, I aint make it up first Corinthians in my house.

REPEAT CHORUS: You want to be a Godly father then, you have to return home with honor, to your Father, you need to pursue and protect, protect your children from the snares, protect your children from the snares, protect from the snares that are being set for them this day. 

VERSE 3: Like a bishop must be blameless husband of one wife, vigilante and sober, of good behavior, not much wine, striking, greedy, or filthy language, but patient, not a brawler, oh you balling but what that family like, hope you training your children right, for if a man know not how to rule his own house how can he take care of the church, life can bring the worst tests, God forbid we part in death, God forbid we lose a child, oh no Holy Ghost, persevere through any storm, me and my house we serve the Lord.

REPEAT CHORUS: There are traps guys that you can’t see, pressure, drugs, alcohol, pornography, There’s traps, pride, pride, pride, gentleman if you and I are going to lead the next generation, we have got to step into the battle, protect.
