Consuming my marrow

There are worms inside my brain
they wiggle in and out again
Sometimes they scream sometimes they’re quiet
Sometimes I scream sometimes I’m silent

These worms inside my head
They crawl around my bed
They fill my mind with dirt
They fill the linings of my shirt

I take my clothes off
I scratch my wrists
I hit my head against the wall
I beat it with my fists 

I wish I knew how to make them go away
I wish I knew how to tell you I’m not okay
I want to love me like I love you like you love me too
But it’s so hard when there are worms inside my head
