First time recording vocals. I’m no engineer by any means. Learning recording, layering, and timing of vocals.

Also experimenting with range, EQ’ing vocals to reduce abrasive sound, and writing lyrics that can be expanded upon when writing full song.

I never write lyrics before starting a project. Just record what sounds good, and expound on that idea until you have the sound you want.

Wasted Away - Demo

First time trying to auto-tune my voice, or use pitch correction.
Recording again, is not my strong suit.
Sat down, recorded, layered, and came up with vocals that hit, placed them where I wanted.
My biggest difficulty working on this, was getting automation tracks and effects to do what I wanted, without glitching or affecting irrelevant vocal tracks.

I need to work on a more organized, organic way of saving & inputting tracks into my layout. I’ll have to see what Reaper offers in regards to overwriting / recording layers.
