Kaen is a wind instrument made from various plants formed together as an instrument. It has a metal valve inside it. The sound is made from the flow of air against/according to the rhythm of the tongue. Found a boy who jammed this melodious stuff in Patpong, Bangkok while I'm getting fat enjoying my Thai beer. Every time i listened to this bootleg, all i wanna do is giving a loud kick drum on it. Enjoy, lads.

Met these guys during my assignment from natgeo in Medan. The kings of Deli lived in this palace, now turned into one of the most touristy destinations in the city. They played two percussion and one accordion. A nice jam, i suppose.

Sarune juga merupakan bagian dari ensembel besar musik Batak yang biasa dinamakan Gondang Batak.
