Starting off behind the bar at many of Melbourne’s most happening venues, Casey spent years fine-tuning her skills into what gets a crowd moving. Making the move into events management and founding "Disco Volante'', one of the city's longest-running weekly club nights, she cut her teeth on the decks surrounded by some of the biggest names in music; both local and international heavyweights. 

Leavers' love for the origins of electronic music makes her the perfect fit at the best venues in Australia. It is well known that her versatility is shines through when she headlines the iconic queer event POOF DOOF, where she roams freely to play anything from 70s soulful disco to deep moody techno in front of hundreds of cult-like punters screaming her name. In late 2019, Casey was signed to Mike Toner's leading agency Thick As Thieves, where she has since gone from strength to strength and more recently, earning herself a Revolver Sundays residency. 

Casey now holds residencies at Revolver Upstairs, One Six One, Poof Doof and Tramp and she plays regular gigs across town from Glamorama to Circus. Her vivacious energy and ability to dial the party up to fever pitch have claimed her position at events like Beyond the Valley, Piknic Électronik, Babylon Festival, Glitterbox + Defected.

When I walked into my set for Revolver Upstairs on Thursday I was thinking about you Wilson, not the playlist I had put together. I was thinking about the times I've looked up from frowning and squinting at the decks to see the big encouraging smile on your face as you bounced around to my music. And the times you and I would lock eyes across the dance floor and simultaneously make our way to right in front of the dj booth to get a bit extra to whatever tune it was that especially caught our fancy. I was thinking of this slow burner of a friendship we were building,  a small  favour here and there, one conversation at a time - it was like we would surprise each other, I would recognise the look in your eyes when I said something that really resonated with you and vice versa. I loved you and I know you valued me. I was dedicating my Revs set to you when I walked up those steps on Thursday. The last time I dedicated a set to someone at Revs it was for my dad, just a few weeks short of a year ago. And again, the emotion that I struggle to sit with let alone express somehow comes through in the music. 

You were loved Wilson, by so many. You will be sorely missed. Some of our community will never be the same again, their hearts ripped out in an instant. We will all come to terms, eventually, with this loss, but you will never be forgotten. 

One of the most genuine and upfront young men I have had the pleasure of knowing. To those closest to you - I think he is in the universe now. Everywhere. He will watch over and encourage his loved ones and I encourage you to honour his life and his love with your every action for the rest of your days.

At our most recent Day Party on Circus Rooftop, all of our TSP residents The Regulators, Ezra & Spyke went b2b2b for 3 hours to open up and kick off the day. 

Showcasing the lighter end of our sound including deep house, afro and progressive, this was a great way to start off what was an incredible Day Party! 

On July 29th, our TSP residents will be going b2b2b again to open up the day - this time for an extended 4 hour set. 

This is an intimate event. There are only 100 tickets available. On sale at 12pm next Wednesday July 5th.

Teknofag is a self proclaimed human anomaly. Fitting no particular mould, they are in a constant state of change, growing and flowing through sounds and emotions. With an eclectic range of tunes, Teknofag is sure to get you moving. Deep and emotional melodic house and techno sounds, right through to fun, humorous and playful tech house tunes, that is their polarity.
Teknofag can be seen playing regularly at clubs around Melbourne, and has graced the stages at POOF DOOF, Circus, New Guernica, Day Spa, My Aeon, and more. 

The origin of Teknofag’s name is an act of protest.  The act of protest towards those who used the word to weaponise against them in their past and present, to change their outlook into the future. A courageous act of standing tall and shouting “THIS IS WHO I AM, AND I’M SURE AS HELL PROUD TO BE ME”.

Teknofag has a background in the visual arts and a passion for fashion. They would spend countless nights a week within the four walls of a Melbourne nightclub, it was the perfect place for self expression. It is there that they discovered their love for electronic music, being moved physically and emotionally by the DJ’s and the journeys they took them on. The smiles they could not wipe off their face made them realise that they want to be able to bring joy to others through music as has been done to them.
Music is the best way to tell a story, share a moment and create memories.
