Mahir [Barış Manço], patron yardımcısı ve satış temsilcisi olarak çalıştığı ilaç fabrikasının sahibi Fazıl Beyin [Hulusi Kentmen] kızı Sevim [Meral Zeren] ile yıllar önce bir aşk yaşamışlar; fakat Fazıl Bey buna karşı çıkarak kızı Sevimi, Mahiri unutması için yurtdışına göndermiştir. Yıllar sonra Sevim Türkiyeye geri döner ve Mahirle tekrar aşk yaşamaya başlar. Fazıl bey, Mahir ile Sevimin evlenme isteğine karşı çıkar. Bu arada, Fazıl Beyin oğlu ve Sevimin erkek kardeşi olan Erol [Sinan Ecer] ile birlikte olan Şermin [Serpil Nur], doğurduğu bebeği Erola bırakır. Erol, bu bebeğin kendisine ait olduğu yalanına inanarak paniğe kapılır. Mahir ile evlenmenin yollarını arayan Sevim, Erolla ve Mahirle anlaşarak, bebeğin kendilerine ait olduğunu söylerler ve Fazıl Beyin bebek sayesinde kendilerini evlendireceğini düşünürler... Bundan sonra da komik olaylar gelişmeye başlar..
