Mini Mainstage Mix

My second mix ever! It started out as a love letter to Ophelia (my favorite label), showcasing some of their newer tracks. I didn't want it to be pure melodic dubstep, so I threw in some regular, filthy dub and topped it off with some epic cinematic bass - Castor and Ironheart are two of my new favorite artists! It's not perfect, and I have plenty of self-criticisms, but I had such a blast selecting the songs and trying my hand at mixing dubstep - turns out it's MUCH more challenging than house!!

This is a live recording of my first set ever, played to a perfect crowd at Vermillion in Cap Hill of screamers and headbangers, friends and strangers. Our goal was to bring a high-energy bass show to Seattle on a Saturday, and play our sets without getting shutdown by security, haha!

Alright everyone, it's been a hot minute since I uploaded a mix. This one is really special for a couple of reasons - first, it got me out of a mixing slump. Hosting XLUK with the genius [plan] and codex_collective gave me a ton of freedom. Tel0sity - Opening Set for KJ Sawka @ Substation, Seattle 1-12-24

After years of gluttonous consumption of electronic music, Becky, aka Tel0sity, made the plunge into making her first mix. She loves spinning big room house, melodic dubstep, filthy dubstep, and is starting to venture into psytrance, drum and bass, and trap. (She also secretly has a soft spot for cheesy early 2000s European techno, shhh)

Her favorite producers are Seven Lions, Kill The Noise, Phase One, Timmy Trumpet, KSHMR, Armin Van Buuren, and Blasterjaxx.

She loves the give and take of the DJ and the dance floor. Her favorite moment in festivals and clubs is looking up at the stage and feeling the bass beat in her heart. If she can give her listeners the same exhilaration, then she is doing what she set out to do.
