Utterly self-taught, Proper Brother started his music career by winning his first Technics MK2 turntable at a DJ Scratch & Beat Juggling competition in early 2000s, at the time where he couldn’t afford any pro gear! He then co-founded a French Hip-Hop / Electro music production label and ran it for a decade. In 2019, after a long break, he’s now back with a new style and a proper name, digging deep in House & Techno music with trippy melodic scratches and proper original productions…

Bulu’s debut studio album cuckoo’s nest aims to break barriers. Despite most of Bulu’s releases to date being in the realms of drum and bass this album is not restricted by genre or tempo and shows the extent Bulu's versatility as a producer.
Starting out at 100 BPM and finishing at 200 BPM, cuckoo’s nest is the product of an idea that despite technological advances opening up the doors of creativity these advances have created formulaic genre defined walls from which Bulu attempts to break free.
Rich melodic content, crisp percussion, thick bass lines, finely tuned synth variations, vocal features from renowned D&B MC Visionobi and Burlesque songstress Ruby St James and overall razor sharp production create an immersive listening experience.
