I was truly impressed by Denis's depth and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry and his understanding of the deficiencies of the economies of small island developing states. His perspective on the need to pay for distribution by Netflixis an interesting perspective. It suggests that if you shave cost by using technology somehow you should be still beholden to the legacy cost. So if Telcos were to save cost by using AI for chatbots and reduce the need for call centres laying off a ton of customer service representatives, should customers be complaining that they should receive some compensation since telcos are now providing customer service without warm bodies.
