They eventually move on to a story Iain wrote examining US vendor Mavenir’s struggles with 5G, before moving on to Scott’s pet topic of how geopolitics impacts the telecoms sector.

As if to show it’s no less inclined to politicise telecoms, European operators joined forces to plead for state assistance with OpenRAN, which the guys discuss next, before concluding with a look at recent mobile spectrum auctions.
