Formed in late 2012 by Elliott Berlin (Aesthetic Perfection) as an outlet for personal emotion, creativity and a reaction towards the closed-minded Goth-Electro scene, TELEMARK is a guitar-heavy electronic indie pop outfit, focusing equally on melodic hooks, heavy basslines and steady club-beats, internally dubbed “Dark Disco”. 

While first-comer album “Cecilie” (planned 2016) reflects profound personal misery and follow-up EP “Don't Panic” (planned 2016) handles loss of faith Telemark is all about celebrating the present and a hard working live-band with a strong DIY-attitude. 

2013 saw the first few live-shows in Telemark's native country Sweden and in 2014 the band followed up with a short tour in the UK (Newcastle, Manchester, London) as well as opening for Combichrist and William Control at Electronic Winter Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. 2015 followed again a short tour in the UK. The live band consists of drummer Martin Svensson, keyboardist Kendra Katz, guitarist Johan Forsell and bassist Rosie McClune. Their live performances can best be described as Darkwave or Post Punk with loud guitars and heavy basslines. Rather thoughtful than energetic in its appearance, yet relentless and gripping.

Telemark's imagery shares the same cold, open and empty touch as the name and idea suggests, designed by Jonathan Briggs of Inquisition (UK). Their totem stylized owl represents the insight of the old world, its white and black silhouette simple yet powerful, and it's flight path marked out from now to either the future or past.

In an era of growing disbelief in our own social structure Telemark tells its own story. Without neither nostalgic nor progressive ideas, no anger, no happiness. 
Telemark is an observation, sequenced with synthesized, acoustic and electrified sounds. 
Words mean nothing. And everything.
