Light of Liberty

READ ON FOR THE STORY behind the song:
Last summer, before this unforseen 2020,  I wrote this song. At the time, the concept was a character deeply dependent on his wrongdoings. Apologetic, but indulgent to self-promotion. Intending to do right, but ensanred by wrong. An addict with a problem, but enough hope to believe in a way past his/her own sin. I found a lot of myself in this person, but I also saw pieces of this entrapment in those around me.
In hindsight, this song has taken on a new meaning to me. Our lust for evil doesn't have to be so intentional to be wrong. It can be the absence of action, or the uncounsious neglect. "The debts I owe, the one's I've lost, the graves and bones of those I've crossed. The things I've seen, the things I've done, I don't trust what I've become."
That said,  this song isn't one of hopelessness. The forgiveness of our sin starts with the confession of it's existence. The forgiveness of our bloodlust continues to move forward as we purge ourselves from it.
"The lust of this blood I give it up, give it over for a chance to start over."

Bloodlust

3 brothers, Mitch, Clayton, Brad McKelvin make up the alternative pop group from South AR. 
The McKelvin Brothers officially became a band in May of 2020, when they released their first studio single 4 U. However, these Arkansas natives have played festivals, music venues, and various events all across the Southern United States. They are comparable to bands such as Coldplay and Switchfoot, because of their high-energy sound, melodic guitar riffs, and all ages appeal.
