What was your inspiration for Slow Burn?

I had the idea for the chorus written down some time ago. A simple line that basically encompasses the whole album and the whole concept of forgiveness. The idea that we guilt ourselves too much and that maybe it’s not all our fault or responsibility. I was very much into deterministic causality at the time and that philosophy helped with the idea of victimhood. Had a good synth line and I lifted the piano idea from a wes anderson movie that had a chorus of kids singing beautifully. And that was it.

This song is not about being unhappy with someone’s behavior, it’s about wanting to be with someone because of the fact that life is being especially difficult. It’s about wanting to spend your time with the people you love most. Because if shit’s gonna go down, better to be with the ones who matter.

Telepathic Teddy Bear is a one-man outfit based out of Monterrey, Mexico. TTB creates dreamy and sometimes very upbeat and light-hearted electronic music. You could easily go from listening to TTB while running a 5k and get right into "bedtime mode" with more whimsical tunes like "The Stars That Left". Unfortunately, unlike many familiar friends like Postal Service, Styrofoam, Dntel and numerous others, TTB doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Regardless of listens or play statistics, this is a very bright and promising electro-synth one-man show. Keyboard delicious from beginning to end.
