Over 40+ minutes, the co:clear founder fuses dubbed-out illbient abstractions, voluminous low end and aquatic gurgles into unconventional analgesic soundscapes. With past offerings to Soleil Rouge and Second End Records – a label which he heads – there's a thread that laces all of Jonnnah’s work. Although never sticking to a definable bracket, the Lyon-dweller effortlessly floats through various tempers, peddling impeccable electronics as equally suited to colossal sound systems, as they are to solitary early morning walks in headphones. It's ambient for the foreground that surprises with flurries of two-step and amen breaks – present-day sonics that doff their cap to what’s come before.

@karisa-correa - 'cold metal, heavy mind' is part of Gravity Pleasure's inaugural release, Water Bodies: a rippling compilation of FLINTA* artists and collaborators that invites listeners into an aqueous paraworld.

Across 21 tracks, Water Bodies spans a post-genre miasma of ethereal mermaid music, cathartic flows, and glistening sibilants ~ each one an exquisite message-in-a-bottle of deep diving emotionality. Pulling from a wide-range of musical perspectives ~ field recording, lovesick ballads, shimmering downtempo, post-party comedown, and percolating ambient ~ the compilation contains multitudes yet maintains deep sentimental coherence. Like a wave crashing in slow motion, it sonifies possible ways of being, insisting on the porous, the interdependent, and the deep and unruly. Water Bodies reminds us that home is a body made of water, to which we all belong.

Sensors

They hid Redwake Station so deep in the mountains that even the mapmakers conveniently forgot it. Snow muffles everything around it, but the structure hums faintly beneath the frost, as if it never learned how to sleep. The upper tower leans like it’s listening for something in the treeline, while the house below sags under the weight of too many winters and too many secrets.

Red lanterns still burn along the walkway, a holdover from the early containment protocols. Their glow isn’t meant to guide visitors. It’s meant to warn whatever lies inside not to wander too far.

The researchers who once lived here were convinced they’d isolated a frequency older than human breath, a vibration hidden in the bedrock of the world. They called it the Deep Pulse. When played aloud, it rearranged thoughts, then memories, then will.

Redwake was built to study the phenomenon. Or maybe to quarantine it. The documents never agree.

What’s certain is this: one night the station sent a final transmission, a distorted tone that rattled across nearby settlements, followed by a single word rendered untranslatable by every modern system. After that, silence.

Now the lights glow again. The snow around the stilts is disturbed.
