Same recording with SCHOEPS UpMix Plugin generating stereo

Helmeted Guineafowl calls @ DierenPark Amersfoort recorded by Aline Bruijns, Audiorally Sounddesign. Recorded with the new Telinga Modular parabolic reflector using a Schoeps CCM 4L cardioid microphone facing the dish. Second version of recording is processed with the Schoeps UpMix plugin which generates stereo from a single mono file. 

Aline Bruijns (MPSE) Aline has a never ending drive to create sound design that enriches a soundtrack and that elevates the story. As a jazz vocalist (and multi-instrumentalist), she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree at the Conservatory in Enschede (the Netherlands) in 2004. She continued at the HKU (school of the Arts Utrecht) in Hilversum and got a Master of Arts Degree in Sound Design in 2007. To have experienced and have been educated in so many layers of music and sound, has enhanced her work and ability to collaborate and work within all audio postproduction departments. She’s the founder and sound designer of audio postproduction company AudioRally Sounddesign since 2009. In 2019 she got admitted as International member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors organization (MPSE), board member of the VCA (dutch film audio society) and became co-chapter head of Soundgirls Netherlands.

Nightmares of tawny owls

A small flock of sixty Migrating Whooper Swans in the middle of night resting on Makholma Bay, Western Finland.  The tempo of the yoking will increase to the end. The nearby shore with forest is giving a nice echo.

These recordings were made with deep respect in the country of the Ngarrindjeri peoples.

With respect, with sadness, with hope. Everything here has changed; except for the sound of the ocean. Where the waters meet, is where the sounds merge. The sound of the ocean, permeating all, remains the same.

Unprocessed excerpts from original recordings. (Listening with good quality headphones - preferably open-backed - with a flat frequency response is recommended.)

It is a cuckoo calling from a small patch of trees above Laig bay. 

The recording was made with a Sony D100 and spaced EM172s.
