Yuliia Kashpruk is an Access teacher in Vinnytsia and Manager of Information Center “Window on America” (Vinnytsia Regional Universal Research Library named after K.A. Timiriazev). Coordinator of international projects and programs at WOA Center.
Her first experiences as a language teacher were at the private Vinnytsia Linguistics School and Vinnytsia Language School working according to Runov's Methods of Teaching English.  Runov School is a unique way of teaching English on a cognitive and motivational basis.
She has had the rich experience of working with youth starting in 2010 when she was engaged in the “Youth in Action” program. It was a cultural exchange project designed for youth from families with problems, single parent families and disadvantaged children facilitating youth work. She also worked with youth with cognitive disabilities from the Vinnytsia NGO “Obrij”, creating a new way of teaching English with this group of learners.
Yuliia K. has participated in international trainings and workshops for teachers of English who wanted to be creative and differentiate their style of teaching. For her, it was a new experience how to teach English in a non-formal way by organizing cultural activities.
As a volunteer and a teacher of English, she is teaching English for disabled youth with the NGO “Harmony”.
She is an alumna of IVLP (International Visitor Leadership Program) sponsored by the Embassy of the United States in Ukraine. It inspires her to make activities introducing American culture based upon her personal experiences. 
As a teacher, she is convinced that Access Microscholarship program prepares students for success.

Bohdan is 16 years old and likes to spend a lot of time with his friends.  He describes himself as "a simple boy" who is "good at joking and making new friends".  He likes playing with animals. He adds that he is "into basketball and fond of listening to music".

A Place to Stay

Money Isn't Everything

In this story, a man receives a recommendation from a friend to solve difficulties in his health and lifestyle.

Serhii was born in Vinnytsia and enjoys acrobatics, kickboxing, and swimming.  He grew up with close relationships with his immediate and extended family and in his biography for this story wanted to introduce these important people from his life.

His grandfather planned many building projects for Vinnytsia and other cities and countries.  He was also a builder. Serhii's family now lives in a building his grandfather built. His grandmother worked hard in childhood. When Serhii was young, she told him that when she was young she and her sisters and brothers ate only soup bread and water. They only dreamed about butter. She lived during Holodomor.

His mother's sister was a wonderful woman who paid a particular interest in Serhii's life and upbringing. Serhii describes her as 'a strong and beautiful woman' who worked very hard. She prepared tasty food and passed on to Serhii an interest in nutrition.

His mother is a retired census worker and his father was a journalist in an environmental publication and is now a geodesist.

He also has a cat who helps his mother "when she can't finish eating".
