This is my first attempt at composing, mixing, and producing a musical track. 

I call it the "experimental track". It has some loops, some sequencing, and midi programming (if that's the correct lingo). It was a learning experience and I'm still figuring things out.

It's all digital (meaning no live recording). I was going to include a live recording or two (of guitars), but that was a bit more complicated than I expected. So, perhaps next time.

I hope you enjoy it.

Oh, and by the way, if it sounds a bit like "hip hop" or "dance" music, there is a reason for that. This started out as a simple tutorial for my DAW Software (Digital Audio Workstation... the software that makes all this happen). Once I was done with the tutorial, I spent more time, learning new techniques, and added more to the original composition.

Sculpt

This was a background track that I made for a video tutorial that I created (pardon the length and repetition of the sounds).

It was also a test project for an alternative DAW (Digital Audio Workstation software). Previously, I was using Tracktion's Waveform, and this track was composed and produced on Reaper. I used less samples and sequenced most of it on my own. There was some help from a synth that had some built in "beats".

Reaper was easy enough to learn and the program is pretty decent, but I eventually went back to my original DAW (Waveform). There were some features in Waveform that I missed in Reaper.

The Cover Image was originally created by Marie Van den Broeck from the Noun Project with exception to the coloring.

Impact

Just a random guy, randomly making noise with the guitar and recording/producing it to resemble music.
