This album was conceptualized and written over the span of 2 years, and recorded over the course of 6 months. It is a channeled body of work, the energy with which it was performed was drawn primarily from the sun as well as tapping into the dream state while awake. Every song (other than tracks 3,5, and 9) was performed and recorded on the spot with no previous composing-- this means no sequencing was used and very little computer editing after the fact. The aura of this album is that of brilliant white light in the heart of such immense darkness. The crown jewel of perseverance, this sonic composition honors the alchemy of pain and beauty. A melding of both feminine and masculine energies to create something pure and new; the channeled information is about accessing the innate power we all have within and using it to transcend our physical bodies and the constraints of this “reality” by letting go of ego and falling into a deeper hyper-dimensional awareness. This album is a tribute to the divine infinite, a waking lucid dream performed during the hottest summer months to shine light in the cold and darkness we all must eventually endure. A gift for those before, now, and after ::: an elixir to help the world fall back asleep and begin to truly DREAM. ♡

Temperance Of Sleep's sophomore album 'Softly' is a channeled body of work performed & produced during the coldest months of winter in the dead of night to be released as a seed this Spring Equinox to help awaken the world into healing and manifesting a new dream. It is the hidden flower in the ruin, the silver pinprick of starlight in a suffocating darkness. 

It was intended to purely be an exploration of personal trauma, survival, ego death, and lucid dreaming but towards the end of the album's process global events quickly began to weigh heavily upon certain songs and themes of decay and transmutation took on a much deeper meaning outside of my own personal perspective.

Originally this body of work was to be released during the Summer Solstice but I felt it needed to be urgently completed in time for the Spring Equinox - songs as dream seeds to blossom into gardens of the new reality beyond the illusion.

'Softly' invites you to feel your pain, fear, sadness, rage, and transmute it into flowers regardless. It may be the apocalypse but we can still dance, sing, and pray - pray to anything which gives your heart inspiration. We must process our wounds, heal our hearts and open our minds to the fact we are truly dreaming ::: do not let them keep you asleep. Find your purpose and be brave along your path.
