“Love Serve Remember: Reimagined,” is a unique collection of new Ram Dass songs and musical renderings. Out today, these tracks collectively celebrate the 50th anniversary of an expansive collection of Ram Dass radio conversations, readings, and music that first took form as the six-LP box set, Love Serve Remember, in 1973.

Liquid Bloom’s “Opening Reimagined” features Moondrop alongside Evan Fraser, and the other tracks were woven by the The Human Experience and John Pattern. 

This album is also available as a vinyl for those of you who want to add this special gem to your collection.

The Year of the Wood Dragon: In the Chinese Zodiac, the wood element is paired with all years ending in 4 or 5 which mark periods of accelerated growth like a sapling pushing through the soil and rising toward the sky to become a towering tree. Spring is the season associated with wood, which is a time for renewal, change and rebirth. The Dragon is the most powerful sign of the Chinese zodiac. The dragon symbolizes power, strength, and good fortune and represents royalty (the Emperor), wisdom, and prosperity. Therefore, a Dragon year brings good fortune, power, passion, creativity and transformation.

Year of The Dragon (Live @The Den)

ENVISION FESTIVAL - ECSTATIC DANCE
(edit. Sat, 9 March: Renamed set "JUNGLE PRAYER ECSTATIC DANCE". Thank you everyone for the feedback. Your dance in the jungle was juicey.  The set was a collective somatic prayer, an embodiment and a devotion to the dance as medicine).

And like all my ecstatic dance mixes, this is a raw portrait of the dance floor before me,  each set experienced as a unrehearsed, spontaneous collaboration with the dancers. But on this particular night in the jungle I had and agenda: Peace, prayer, healing, tribe, remembrance, beauty, home.

Envision Festival was the apotheosis of what a dance floor can do, and how far it can go as collective cathartic release. It was a total hot, sweaty meltdown of a trust fall.  

p.s. DJing ecstatic dance at a festival generally requires getting down to business from the get-go. Unlike indoors, these dances compete with other stages, are a porous container, comers-and-goers, talking on the dancefloor....and this also makes it special and surprising for the uninitiated.

Following their impactful "Fragrance" release, Amani Friend and Robin Leipman return with the multi-talented Onanya, seamlessly blending world music, modern beats, and bass. Onanya's profound contribution, infused with ceremonial prayers, African ngoni, native flutes, along with Shipibo-style vocals, adds layers of authenticity. 

The collaborative spirit, featuring Yube from the Huni Kuin tribe, creates a vibrant tapestry celebrating diversity. In a world where music bridges cultures, "Forest Guardians" is a transformative masterpiece, a must-listen electro-organic odyssey resonating with purpose and unity.

Played live on March 24, 2024 at the Asheville Movement Hall to a packed room. I shared the stage with Random Rab, Cpt Hyperdrive, and Spirit Animal. Special thanks to all my friends who came to get down, I know there was a lot going on in town that night. 

There's no "theme" to this set in particular. The set went through several revisions, and ended up being cut 15 minutes short because the event got off to a late start. I'm thinking of releasing an extended studio version later this week, so keep your eye out for that.

When constructing the set I drew from influences in music I was exposed to while on my recent travels to Hawaii. Special thanks to Dajah for introducing me to Surround Sound. I mashed it up in this set. Also special thanks to Osiah, Ginko and Lachlan for the support and some dope track suggestions.

As I stepped onto the Earth Stage at the Texas Eclipse Festival 2024, a rush of excitement flooded through me. It was an honor beyond words to have the opportunity to share my music with the vibrant souls gathered under the canopy of Texas skies. Little did I know that the next few hours would be a journey of transcendence, as the energy of the crowd surged and swirled around us.

The crowd began as a humble gathering, but as the beats echoed through the air, it seemed to grow exponentially, swelling to a couple of thousand souls united by their love for music and the promise of connection. It was as if the very essence of the festival came alive in that moment, pulsating with anticipation and possibility.

As I delved into my set, the energy of the crowd became palpable, a tangible force that seemed to weave its way through the air, connecting each person in a shared experience of euphoria. The music served as our conduit, guiding us on a journey of exploration and self-discovery.

With each beat, each melody, the energy began to coalesce into a tribal frenzy, a rhythmic dance of heaving souls seeking enlightenment through the transformative power of sound. It was a beautiful chaos, a symphony of movement and emotion that transcended language and culture.

As the night unfolded, I found myself lost in the moment, swept up in the collective energy of the crowd. Together, we danced beneath the stars, our spirits soaring as we surrendered ourselves to the music, to each other, and to the magic of the festival.

The next day, in those fleeting hours, time seemed to stand still as we basked in the glow of the Texas Eclipse, our hearts and minds open to the infinite possibilities that lay before us.  I knew that I had experienced something truly special—a moment of pure connection and communion that would stay with me long after the festival had ended.

Performing at the Texas Eclipse Festival 2024 was more than just a gig; it was a privilege, a gift, a chance to be a part of something greater than myself. And as I stepped off the stage, heart full and soul alight, I knew that I would carry the memory of that night with me forever, a reminder of the power of music to unite, to inspire, and to transform.

Surrounded by fellow artists like David Starfire and Jeff Stott, we shared stories and reveled in creativity. Together, we embodied the essence of community and collaboration.

Bicycle Day wasn't just about the music; it was about embracing the present and envisioning a future of transformation through art and music. As the night unfolded, faces aglow with euphoria, I felt gratitude for the opportunity to share in this magical experience.

The set that was rumored to be for Tipper. In the Android Jones & team's MultiversalME Microdose VR CHIMERA art dome, right before Skysia & Orenda. I walked in with my gear, right place and right time, and landed the golden set time. 

This was definitely a peak DJ experience for me. I had just finished my ecstatic dance set at the yoga & movement stage, so I was warmed up and ready for this. I walked into the dome as they were kicking people up to prepare the space for the night, and intuitively asked if they needed a DJ that night, and was met with an enthusiastic YES WE NEED A DJ! I didn't have time to tell anyone, so I had a dome full of people either there to see Of The Trees, Tipper, or Skysia & Orenda, plus people who happened to gravitate to the dome at that time.

The pulsating beat reverberated through the room, igniting a collective energy that transcended mere movement. As I stepped behind the decks, the crowd before me shimmered like a sea of souls, each one ready to surrender to the rhythm. It was an Oakland Ecstatic Dance night, and I was about to embark on a musical voyage that would intertwine hearts and spirits.

 The first notes emerged, and bodies swayed, eyes closed, as if seeking connection beyond the physical. The bassline wrapped around us, creating a cocoon of sound where judgments dissolved, and vulnerability blossomed.

The dance floor pulsed with life. Ecstatic dancers moved freely, their movements unscripted, yet harmonious. We were no longer separate entities; we were threads woven into a cosmic tapestry of joy.

As the music intensified, I felt the crowd’s heartbeat sync with mine. Their sweat-slicked bodies moved in unison, a celebration of life’s raw beauty. Eyes met, smiles exchanged, and for those fleeting minutes, we were a tribe—a tribe that danced away worries, fears, and doubts. The barriers dissolved, leaving only the shared pulse of existence.

As the night wound down, long time music production client, Bonwyn Alya and I closed the event with a meditation. After wards she whispered, “Thank you.” Her words echoed in my heart, a reminder that music and meditation could heal, uplift, and connect. We had co-created magic—an ephemeral masterpiece etched in the memories of everyone present.

And so, under the dim lights of Oakland Ecstatic Dance, I learned that joy wasn’t a solitary pursuit—it was a shared rhythm, a dance of souls entwined. 🌈🌿

If you ever find yourself back on that dance floor, remember the magic—the beats, the connection, and the joy. Oakland Ecstatic Dance awaits, ready to embrace you once more. 🕺💫
