Tuhin Mehta belongs to the old school breed of DJs. With two decades of experience pioneering club-world in India, he’s a force to be reckoned with. He is someone who has immersed himself in the art of DJing from an extremely young age, where it was not just a forged career path, rather, a way of life.

A professionally qualified sound engineer from SAE in Chennai, along with being an international ambassador to the Berklee College of Music, Tuhin not only has immense experience from the various clubs that he has played in over the years, he also has a sharp understanding of the technical aspects behind sound production. His understanding of equipment is grade A and it speaks volumes that he was named a Pioneer Pro DJ for India in 2007. This combination of both prowess and technical ability only adds to his allure as a DJ who has a sharp understanding of the science of rocking a dance-floor.

There is just no way you can pigeonhole Tuhin’s style… his sets are an energy packed blend of diverse sounds – he adds a bit of everything just as long as it gets you dancing. Filled with quirky melody and heavy drummage – Tuhin has created a genre of his own in his thumping ‘EnergiTech’ and you can be rest assured that you will be losing it to his music. His extensive background in DJing also makes him a ridiculously sharp technician on the decks; he knows his equipment and his tunes inside out and you’ll find that his mixing ability is second to none.

Keeping himself busy on all fronts: DJing at the biggest clubs to packed crowds, producing massive tunes that get featured on award winning albums and now organizing one of India’s top-notch music festivals in his home town – Tuhin Mehta is obviously here to stay and each year his imprint on the scene in India is becoming everlasting. It has to be said, no one really understands the intricacies and sheer power that music holds, as well as he does.

MRC GUEST MIX 023 BY TUHIN MEHTA (#MRCturns2 Special Mix)

Music and therapy are synonymous to me. 2020 has been quite the roller coaster and we've all had our fair share of challenges. Music is what has kept me going and in my latest episode for my podcast, I've tried to portray this therapeutic journey I've had in the last few months. 

Starting out with a dark groovy tone, this set symbolises what we've gone through and how many of us have kept the light shining even through tough times. So tune in, sit back and let the melodic rhythms drive you to a conscious state of emotional acceptance.

A bohemian collecting music from different sources to reform them & play. It will be totally ok to say that he is known for his exhilarating music and style, which is definitely very distinctive from what you hear on your local radio. In the initial years of his rhapsody he spent a lot of time playing at various clubs as a resident DJ and collaborating with several artists for the sake of different music. His first music release in the year 2010 gained a lot of attention and support, and since then he has been releasing music that can be very well distinguished and recognised as his style. Supported and admired by many artists from the planet, making unique sounds has always been his motto. Multiple releases on national & international labels and an agenda to change the world with the magic of music, this man is unstoppable.
