After much deliberation, I couldn’t keep this project to myself alone.
That’s why I called on AH&N to kick things off with a wonderful one-hour journey.
AH&N operates within a musical universe of blurred contours, orbiting around techno and bass music. Leaning at times towards hypnosis and at others towards percussion and drive, he invites listeners to let go and have fun, guided by repetitive rhythms and textured sounds.

Based in France, he has released music on Secuencias Temporales, Monochrome Records and Hublot Records; he is also part of the team behind the Exocet podcast.

YONG YING is a Berlin-based DJ originally from Hong Kong, known for her passion for creating captivating dance-floor journeys. With a unique blend of techno, industrial, broken beats, experimental sound, noise, and EBM, her sets tell a story filled with heart-pounding bass and pulsating rhythms, seamlessly crafting a dark sonic tapestry.
Her sound is an exploration of emotion and identity, reflecting her diverse background and the vibrant cultures that shape her artistry. She believes the dance floor is a sanctuary for shared exploration and profound connection.
Besides having performed at prominent clubs like Tresor, Oxi, MO1, and Watergate, she is a resident DJ at Mihn Club in Hong Kong and a member of the music collective Entropy 熵.

EPM.190 comes from Science Cult boss, Syrte.  Syrte is Italian born Stefan Weise, currently residing in Colorado, US. As Syrte, Stefan has performed live and as a DJ all over the US and Europe. He is currently co- owner & co-founder of Electro and IDM label Science Cult and the host of Blue Industries on Proton Radio, which just celebrated 20 years. His DJ sets, as captured in this mix for EPM that twists DJ Stingray 313 into Blawan and Galaxian into Lord Jalapeños are high energy, 150bpm+, IDM laden affairs that have left many a listener in a daze afterwards. 

Growing up in Italy and Germany, Stefan was exposed to electronic and dance music from an early age. His father, a former Discoteque DJ, maintained a healthy collection of Italo Disco records, while his mother, always on the hunt for new music, introduced him to many of the early electronic pioneers. In 1989, during a brief stint residing in the UK, Stefan was introduced to Acid House. He was only 13 at the time. 

Over the years, his passion for futuristic music evolved and after migrating to the US, Stefan began DJing at age 17 in Dallas, TX. This eventually led to him producing his own music a few years later using a severely underpowered Macin-tosh computer and a copy of Rebirth RB-338 that his friends bought him as a birthday gift. His influences have always been Autechre, Aphex Twin and the sound of Tom Middleton & Mark Prichard aka The Jedi Knights. 

Stefan wanted to explore as many musical avenues as possible and first gained attention as Progressive Breaks artist "Stefan Anion" with his bootleg remix of Gary Jules' cover of "Mad World". Having appeared on labels such as Gem Records, King Street Sounds and Credo, he became known for his unique and futuristic dub techno sound. Stefan eventually turned to Electro and IDM under his new alias Syrte which can best be described as IDM meets Electro.

Stefan's ethos for Syrte is sound experimentation over conformity, no matter the end result.

Hagva began in 2022 as a shared experiment between CP1 and Not Mass, artists closely tied to Milan’s Evolvere collective and Stagno Records. What started as a dialogue has grown into a practice of dismantling rhythm and building it back stronger, threading techno through post-club ruptures, industrial grit, and deep ambient undertones. From Evolvere’s underground nights in Milan to RSO Berlin, Module CPH, Buka Milano, Tempovìa, and Zurich’s D.A.S., their sets have carried the same uncompromising edge: a refusal to settle into comfort, constantly pulling dancers into new terrain.

The mix we present today is a three-hour live recording from their set at D.A.S. in Zürich earlier this year, capturing Hagva in full flight. There’s no easing in, it’s a straight leap onto a fast-moving train, powered by relentless percussion and groove, with sudden swerves that snap the floor awake. Heavy, urgent, and unpredictable yet always precise, it’s a reminder that energy doesn’t need excess to be overwhelming. For those hearing them for the first time, it’s the perfect entry point; for those who already know, it’s another layer of proof. With their debut EP arriving September 15 on Stagno Records, this set stands as a clear statement of intent.
