In November 2024, Temple Of Joy celebrates nine years of ecstatic whirling. To mark the occasion, we're releasing a compilation titled Eros As Gnosis—a collection that captures the intense transformations shaping our nights.

The first taste of this collection is Path by Swedish band Alvar, masters of proto-EBM and darkwave. Hailing from the depths of Stockholm, Alvar has repeatedly submerged our dancefloors in grinding metallic rhythms, dissolving dancers into a heavy mist where the pulse of machinery meets the murmur of emptiness.

Chicago-based experimental multidisciplinary artist Pedrolino has been
producing music and organizing events for the past 10 years, releasing music over
the last five years under names like Pedrolino, Baka, and performing as DJ
Chainsawman and Holey Head. They have released music on labels such as Soil, Shi
Shi, Forkha, OSM Tapes, and Northern Industrial Movement. Pedrolino’s
productions are brutal and uncompromising, favoring complexity while avoiding
overly intellectual posturing. “The goal has always been to create art that we can live
in—a work that addresses us as much as we address it, connecting on an undeniably
human level”.

Stalker Ego es el alias de Esteban Mejía Gutiérrez, DJ y productor musical bogotano radicado en Medellín. Como cofundador del colectivo Vinilorama y propietario de Vinilorama Records, ha sido una figura clave en el desarrollo de sonidos que fusionan el industrial, el disco y los sonidos sintéticos de los tempranos años 80.

Su habilidad para integrar atmósferas nostálgicas y futuristas lo convierte en una adición única para la cuarta entrega del compilado de Swords & Chains Recordings. Su contribución resalta cómo sus sonidos se acoplan perfectamente al enfoque vanguardista del sello, ampliando su propuesta hacia territorios de noise core y ambient que dialogan con las raíces del proyecto.

Stalker Ego is the alias of Esteban Mejía Gutiérrez, a DJ and music producer from Bogotá, currently based in Medellín. As co-founder of the Vinilorama collective and owner of Vinilorama Records, he has been a key figure in shaping sounds that blend industrial, disco, and synthetic tones from the early 80s.
